Scientists have been able to manipulate embryonic stem cells, back to adult mature cells. If what the scientists claim they have discovered is true, this opens up a huge argument to ethicity in medicine.
Could this end up with some form of, for want of a better word, mutant human?
And what of the impact on men, as a co-contributer to the making of life?
Being a sensitive topic, i plead for everyone to respectful of others views and lets try and not make this a slug-fest
Really...my daughter and I have been living alone together for about 4 years now and we have a great life...we're like two crazy flat mates living together with a crazy stupid dog and a fat cat. I can do anything I want, I don't need to consult anyone, think about anyone except my daughter and since she's been brainwashed into being pretty much my exact double for the last 11 years we get along on most subects
I dont find that people are put off because I have a child, certainly not in my experience at least. Most people find it extremely positive being a single parent, it shows great strength of character, independence, resourcefulness and energy. Many people, men and women, greatly respect and admire all of these things. It also helps that my daughter is a brilliant human being
So dont fret about it - redefine what the term 'family' means to yourself and your children, enjoy the wonderful opportunity to make a real positive impact on the world by bringing a balanced, loving person into it, and look around you at all the people appreciate you and your kids and the job you're all doing.[/quote
