totally agree. so when you see their profiles saying want something serious and they contacted you (with your profile emphasizing that you're only after friendship) then it can get mind boggling sometimes. -

exactly!! at least read the summary at the back. grrr.. then you will you not find yourself discarding the book mid way through reading because you realise by then that you actually dont like it (how the book is written, the genre, topic, etc). good one meand.

but how will that help them find the most suitable person? i know what you mean.. if you send out 1000 emails you might get 1 or 2 bites. but if the goals do not match - how can one sustain that relationship?

I understand, G, that women on CS are inundated with unsolicited email. I really do. A while ago I posted a Poll to prove just that. But, consider: Let's say you get 20 unsolicited emails a day. Without your Profile warding some off, it might be 40. So, while you have every right to bemoan the guys who don't read it, you should remember, some do.[/quo

not sure where that is going - all i want is for people to read profiles and ensure that they are not wasting each other's times by going for people who doesnt have the same goals as them.... i just dont see the point in that..

dagosto. im talking about guys who actually email me with an intention of keeping in touch in a more personal way. your experiment will never work because, as i said before, i know you from the forums as we have posted in a few threads so you're not actually some random guy who just decided to email me. plus, maybe it is an unwritten rule - but being a fellow forum poster, good manners requires me to reply.
