I mean.. except for the 18 year olds - most of us here have probably done backpacking already.. but i was just wondering if anyone else is wondering whether they still like to give it a shot at this time of their lives... just a thought.... i am kinda itching to eff off from oz at the moment and considering getting a round the world ticket (not just as a holiday but to actually live and work in each country, that kind of thing)....

wow.. this is a timely thread for me. i have been rather upset with some so called friends of mine lately. how does one know which ones are real and which ones are fair weather friends? when do we stop making excuses for them? when do we accept that sometimes, some people's friendships are transient.. does friendship disappear when one's financial capability is reduced? when one can no longer afford to run with the rest of the pack? is friendship affected at all by one's financial situation?.. just thinking out loud...
