So if you meet somebody that you've never met before and he/she asks you to come down a dark alley with them, you would abide by their request? I wouldn't think so. Trust is earned by being honest and open with someone.

Mercedes I think you're really funny and witty. You make me laugh at times. Its good to have laid back relaxed people such as yourself and others that frequent CS.
You can already do all this many moons ago Buzzy. And also it is a great program for anyone who has a bad internet history and wants to forget their past. There is pros and cons with everything. It is just life. I am not accusing you Buzzy of having a bad internet history..by no means am I doing that.
Thanks Mercedes but True, I cannot save others only my own.And only them alone. But you can save yours who in turn can save theirs who in turn.................... We can try to intervene and help others, whether it will make an impression on them is entirely up on to them. Its a kinda like the warnings on ciggerette packages, the least we can do is try to make an effort and reach out to others and warn them off the dangers on the internet. But thank you for your words.

I guess children would protect themselves in much the same way that you and I and others would protect ourselves. Maybe the parents spend quality time with their kids teaching them safe practises. But most likely children learn from other children. So, it would be the same as adults,knowing the dangers that are present on the net. There are loads of sites that addresses the issues for parents to discuss with children, but life as it is, the question remains. What to do with the vulnerable child in much the same way as the vulnerable adult?

Seriously, you do not have to prove yourself to me but I would hope that if a person that is in direct contact with you asked you to post up the request, I would hope you would oblige them.
I'm not here trying to get each and every last CS user to prove that they are the person in the photograph. I just would hope that genuine small groups of people would prove to their friends that they are real. I can only be concerned for the group that I'm in direct contact with. Those people are my little online community garnished from a much larger online community ie. CS. It is only with our own smaller communities that we can work with.
lol Hugz, we wont be distorting our webcams cos we dont need to do that. We are not scammers or predators. They will know all about it. that is their field of business.But yes, there are loads of genuine webcam users.
True, very true Conrad. You are 100% correct. But most cyber cafe users will not bother going to the trouble of, as you put it, spoofing the IP. There is no point. They know that they are safe in the cyber cafe, unless they are being specifically watched by law enforcement.
Its not about about deciding who has more or least intelligence, it is about being honest and open.I know loads of people that can build a motor engine but may not be so good with pen and paper. i can help that person out by teaching them basic reading and writing skills and in return that person can teach me lots of things that I don't know about. People that may lack in one area, may make up in another. We learn from each other. Each individual mind is attuned to an individual thinking process otherwise we would not class ourselves as individuals, we would class ourselves as 'collective'.
I do not want you to prove yourself to me. Why would I? I am not in contact with you. I do not mail you. All our dealings is public on the forum. We are not personally associated, it makes no differ to me as to whether you are you or you are not you. It will not affect me in the slightest. I mean that sincerely and not spitefully.
