Yeah I know Aberdeen has been getting slammed and thats where I was. I thought being a NewYorker I would be use to the cold and snow. But yikes!!!! I love Aberdeen everyone was so nice there! will never get use to the roundabouts and I am still trying to figure out what side of the car I am supose to be. I really did not like Haggis at all. But let me tell ya you guys have the best pasteries in the world! I think I gained 20 lbs over there.
I have not been on here in a while now, and I see most everyone I knew here are gone. a lot of faces and names I have not had the pleasure to meet. I have been on CS for about almost 3 years now. And through that time I have seen lots of posts wanting to know about long distance relationships, and posts asking if people thought CS could help you find that special aomeone. Now I would like to leave this post to everyone who asked theese questions. I met a man from Scotland here back almost when I first joined. We shared emails phone calls for almost three years. after a long hard road of trying to get together and really meet we finnaly did. I have just returned from Scotland from a 7 week visit with him, and now have a beautiful diamond on my left hand. He will be comming over here to the states in just a few months and we will be married at that time. He as I had always believed is a fantastic man my soulmate and he believes the same. While over there I had met his family he has three great sons who I love to death. And a wonderful mother whom I need to get a Christmas presant out to before it's to late. As I just recieved mine from her. I want everyone to know that you can meet that special person and he/she can be 1000's of miles away and you can make it all work if you are willing to work with it. here is to everyone looking to find there love of there life, Never give up and never doubt. I am so glad that writing this gives others even if it is just one person hope. Love no matter how close or how far is something everyone should have. Everyone has a soul mate and thanks to modern tech. with computers and all it gives us a better chance to find ours. No one should give up ever.
I'm happy I found the love of my life. Happy that he has three amazing kids. Happy that he feels the same way. Happy the world still rotates. Happy for each day that comes. Happy that I am who I am.
I don't know if there is anyone left here that would remember me it has been a long time since I have been on here. My reason for not logging in is really my answer to this question. I am from NY and had met a man here on CS about 3 years ago who lives in Scotland. 3 years of a long distance relationship, not a very easy thing to do. We had a lot of ups and downs we even had called everything off once. But we managed to pull it back together. It takes a lot of love, trust in each other, faith, and consideration of each others feelings. When one gets down and thinks it is never going to work the other has to be the strong one and fight for both. and then the other way around. There are a lot of hard times and a lot of trials you need to get through. Its no picnic in the park when the one you love is so far away. At this point in time we have decided that if we can get through all the hard times we both have shared the last 3 years we should be able to get through anything. So as of Oct 14, I will be moving to Scotland where we will be married and start a new chapter in our lives. Yes it takes a lot to make a long distance relationship work but if you really think about it, When you are able to be together once and for all, how much you will cherish what you have.
The way I understand it, the guy was never really proven to be guilty. And he was tried by the Scots, and I believe that the Scots have a thing in their courts that a person is to be set free if they can't prove it. By the Scots courts the guy should have never been jailed in the first place, but he was.
Yes! Very much so. This is the way I feel right now and have for some time now. It's such a good feeling and even better now Now that he has asked me to Marry him! I am on cloud 9/2!
I have to give this a very big YES! It happen to me!! Will it last who can say for sure if anything will last? But it has been 18 months since we met here on CS, and we are now engaged to be married.
Prices are going up so fast. I purchased a few ears of corn the other day, that was all I bought, and in the few minutes it took for me to get from the corn to the cashier they changed the freaking sign and I ended up paying $1.50 more then I had expected.
I chose other because I am not much of a shopper, and don't care where it comes from as long as it is the best value fro the money, and not the most money for the value. Though I do have one store that I love! Victoria Secret, this is the only place I will by my perfume and undies.
Awww! thats really nice. We should take the time once in a while to let others know they are thought of in good ways. And it's nice to have someone here with the CS family like you.
A one nighter really doesn't mean anything does it? It's not for me. Having one nighters really takes away from it being special with someone who is special.

I believe it has happen lots of times, and I believe that in some cases the love that starts before you meet can create relationships that are deeper, have a more powerful bond to them. And I believe that some of these relationships would not have ever been if they had met first.

Well IMO, No you don't have to be married to make a commitment. But Signing that little piece of paper is what makes that commitment complete. With me, I want firs the commitment first that is verbal and felt between two people. But I also want that piece of paper that goes that much further. It not only tells both of us that we are commited to each other, but it also tells the world that we are committed to each other. While you as a couple will know that this commitment is there, There are others who would see it that someone is not putting 100% commitment into the relationship. There are some who feel with out that paper that ring, They are still fair game. And while you may trust each other not to get mixed up into something like that. It is the fact that they were willing to have that paper that ring to let them know up front they are spoken for, that there heart really does belong to someone else. Then there is the leagle views to concider. there are a lot of times that with out that piece of paper you really are not considered to be that important to the other persons life. A man who has been committed to a women for a good while, has an accident, he is in the hospital dying. She loves him with all her heart, but they will not allow her in to see him, not even to say good bye. She has no say over what they do or not do for him. Even thought she knows his truest requests. That so called little piece of paper means so much more then people give it credit for. And the ones who view it as just paper, really have not thought everything out. Or they really do not want that much of a commitment after all.

The only thing special about being immortal is the fact that you don't die. Bu it would seem to me that you would have to watch your families your friends everyone around you die. Doesn't sound appealing to me in that light. Now if everyone was immortal, I would have to ask does this include wrinkles gray hair? Or do we get to keep our youth too?
You can have all the money in the world but if you don't have someone you love to share it with. It just leaves you well taken care of but empty and lonely. If you have love in your life and no money. But at least your not alone and some one there to help you smile and maybe have a laugh. There is no emptiness. And instead of eing taken care of your cared for. I'll take the love over money any time.
I believe in attraction at first site, that grows in to love. And I believe that sometimes the attraction can be so strong that a person believes it's love. But I also feel this attraction was meant to be, so the love can follow.
For me the most important is not listed. I really feel that personality is a feature. If someone has a personality that clashes with mine I don't see them as very good looking at all there is no appeal. On the other hand if there personality jives with mine I see them as very good looking. But I would vote for eyes as second, With the eyes you can see into there heart if you really want to look.
I am not a very controlling person. But there has been times, that there might be a thread I have a lot of passion about. and I have caught my self dominating or trying to. And I know that when I see this happening it is time for me to step back for a while. I don't want to control anyone or thing, other then myself.
Yes I have met some one here. We have been getting to know each other for the past 15 months. And the more time goes on the more in love with him I am. He's a great guy!
