Yes, many times...I used to take love for granted, assumed it was the way things worked, until I met a mature woman in Turkey, who told me she had never known what it felt like to be in love. I was surprised and shocked by her statement, and have thought about it many times since then. Now that I am older, I know that falling in love is a great gift that we shouldn't take for granted. I know someone who has never fallen in love, he said that he "cared" for his ex, but never loved her. He said that he really didn't know if he'd ever loved anyone. You're right its a gift, a wonderful gift that makes you happy, makes you hurt and best of all makes you whole.
