RE: What happened before the big bang?

Actually it has to do with not closing the doors to further discovery and enlightenment.

RE: Anger!

I bottle my anger up and hold on to it for month's at a time, than some unsuspecting sole comes along and slightly pisses me off and gets everything from the previous month's unloaded on them. I find this a very healthy and constructive way to manage my anger. uh oh

It is really good at making for great long lasting relationships as well.dunno

RE: Hell and Heaven

I believe in a heaven, not sure what it is, being raised as Mormon they have very specific ideas of heaven, some I like, some just seem like an exclusive members only club. I have my own visions of what heaven are but they solely mine and no more based on fact than what is written in any religious book. Hell on the other hand not so sure that even exists.

RE: How many would want to go back to their ex-spouse after being out there in the world awhile?

RE: What is Your Favorite Pizza

One sitting on plate in my lap and beer watching Baseball right now would be my favorite pizza.

Food obsession

I don't get it, after being normal weight most of my life, never being obsessed with food. I mean I used to only eat because I was hungry and stopped when I was full. Well I think my metabolism slowed when I hit 35 because I put on about 40 pounds. So I decided to diet. Simple enough just stop eating unhealthy foods, no problem. Again food never ruled my emotions, I never craved unhealthy food.

Then I declared 'I am going to lose 40 lbs'. Now all of the sudden I crave bad foods. I get obsessed over icecream, cake, potato chips, ect. What the hell? dunno

RE: What happened before the big bang?

dunno so whats the problem, I'm not so sure scientific "arguing" ever results in wars. The same is not so true for religion. It's not so much arguing as it is testing, collecting data, reformulating, building upon others. Yes science rarely gives absolutes. Than again thinking in absolutes is a flaw a in logic and best left to religion.

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

Science seems to have a better record of accuracy over the ages than religion. No matter how much religion tries to control science, science comes out the winner.

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

Why not subscribe to the its all an computer generated fantasy as in the matrix theory. No more out there.

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

Darwin's own appearance was a testament to this statementgrin

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

Yeah science has nothing on those ancient sheepherders.

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

I have asked myself this question about religion. My best guess is that he who can control God (or at least dictate to others what God is) can and do control others. To me that is the base function of Religion (control). Why do think leaders and politicians throughout time have leveraged religion to increase their power.

Science in it's purity has no interest in power or control that is why it has always been a threat.

RE: Love Almighty

yes, of course the flaw in the logic comes when we try to tell someone else who God is.

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

I am not sure about all of the above. If your worried about science removing God from the equation. Don't...God can and does exist within all, your intellect, your reason. God doesn't battle the big bang theory or evolution, neither should you.

RE: If according to Darwin's theory...

first of all it is not "Darwin's theory" it is called Evolution and idea's of common decent have existed since 6 century BC. Furthermore it is based upon common ancestry from from a common Gene pool. Human are basically a different leg of that descent as are the apes, monkey, and gorilla's we see today. Now we do have common ancestry with those species, but we did not evolve from the ape you see in the zoo.

RE: What happened before the big bang?

Just a few points of scientific clarification if you will. Someone mentioned the black holes only exist at the center of the galaxies. This is a theory and very well observed one. Scientist have called these Supermassive black holes. Second black holes are not caused by the explosion of supernovas rather they (not just supernovas but theories range from various types of compact stars as well) implode or collapse under their own gravity until a singularity (a single point of infinite mass). Now these black holes are called stellar black holes and there is estimated to be 100's of millions of these in our universe.

Now back to the bigbang there are theories that the Supermassive black holes are actually primordial or created at or during that event. I've heard a theory that suggests that the Big Bang was initiated, catalyzed, by a white hole, the opposite of a black hole. professor

Ok that is my science dialogue on this site for the month.

RE: TEST topic! Democrats, DO NOT enter!

Don't let yourself be categorized, putting yourself into a classification prevents thinking for yourself. If you believe in an issue that's what matters. I have had liberals say I was conservative, and quite frankly here in Utah most consider me liberal. I just believe in what I believe in.

RE: TEST topic! Democrats, DO NOT enter!

Problem is no important causes ever make it on the agenda of either party. They mostly like to bicker about unimportant but divisive topics.

RE: Question For The Guys

I have boys, I am constantly saying it, so I have no problem saying it to another guy. Besides, I wish other would have the same courtesy, hey dude xyz. Simple temporary embarrassment instead of realizing all of the people you encountered that day.

RE: TEST topic! Democrats, DO NOT enter!

ummm actually you lose, we never get what we want in this two party system.moping

RE: TEST topic! Democrats, DO NOT enter!

What if you are neither and can't really tell the difference between a Repubacrat or Demopublican.dunno confused
