'03 Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic - pipes, DYNA ignition, Predator air kit, recalibrated carbs, and an SS420 cam. Loud and quick (for an 1100), surprises a lot of folks. A really fun ride!
I just noticed your post. Yes, I am a Firefly fan, too. I have told several people about, but, typically, if I'm nuts over a series, it's doomed. I really liked Brimstone and Millenium, too. I guess I'm the kiss of death!
Firefly used to be on broadcast TV here in Minnesota, then was removed. Later, I found it again on satellite, but, I haven't seen it there any more, either.
I really enjoy the humor and character interaction of the series. I think it's GREAT!!! Also, it's good to see Ron Glass (Barney Miller) in a series again!
As long as bad guys have guns (and, that will be ALWAYS, regardless of attempts to ban them), law abiding citizens should be allowed equal deadly force for self defense. I am a gun owner, a skilled handgunner, trained in self defense with a handgun, shoot regularly in competition, have a permit to carry and do so, and understand exactly, by law, when I may engage deadly force and when I may not. I carry concealed, I don't brandish, show off, or brag. The ONLY one who need be concerned that I am carrying a gun is the bad guy who endangers my life. I will shoot him dead if left no other option.
The original "Night of the Living Dead", and, in the sci-fi category, the original "The Thing" with Jame Arness (Marshall Dillon) as the monster. Flat-out scariest movie - the John Carpenter remake of "The Thing" with Kurt Russell.
C'mon, don't be like that! It's a compliment. I think you're quite attractive and I'm simply stating an honest opinion. And, no nice rack goes unoticed. I guess my astute powers of observation are simply a gift!
Why do guys immediately home in a woman's rack? Well, I guess I can't speak for other guys, but, I do this because I CAN'T HELP IT!! I try and try not to be obvious, but, my eyes have a mind of their own. They WILL involuntarily lock in on a woman's rack. In fact, in a crowded room, they can target multiple racks at one time. I have no will in this matter. And, BTW, as you turn to leave, my eyes will do a laser stare at your butt. Again, I have no choice in this matter!! And, I must say, Lakelady51, you have a very nice rack!
I remember when my best friend's dad had a gold Kaiser (automobile), we rode our fat-tired bicycles with playing cards in the spokes, we built chugs, forts, rafts, slings (like David and Goliath), match guns, binder guns, stole green apples, played (NOT vandalized) in new construction, my first McDonald's (walk-up only, no indoor restaurant), my first job at $1.65 per hour (carry-out boy at Red Owl), my high-school buddy's '40 Ford five-cent cones at the Dairy Queen. I remember my brand new go-like-hell 1968 Pontiac GTO ($3,600), 19-cent, 100 octane gasoline, drive-in restaurants that served beer, joining the Army and making $77 a month, getting stopped for DWI and having the police simply tell me to go home (and, I did!), "whites only" signs in Alabama establishments, concrete highways with that dangerous, annoying ramped edge, my new 8-track player (put it into my '58 Cadillac), USOs at train depots, the World's Fair at New York City, being offered a job as a television cameraman on Hee Haw, seeing Eric Burden and the Animals in person, travel before interstate freeways, Sputnik. I could go on, but, I think I've demonstrated how blasted old I am!!!!
Paranormal stuff, in general, fascinates me. I have read quite a bit about EVP and am really tempted to try some recording. However, if I ever actually caught an EVP, I probably wouldn't sleep for the rest of my life!!
