Today I read a Jungian Personality Inventory. I think it's an old Measure,not sure. One of the 16 "Persona-types" in the inventory is "The Dreamer" or incurable Romantic as I understand it. Only 1.5 % of men and 2.5 % of women measure out as "Dreamers" Anyone familiar with Jung? I'd describe the fellow as a "kinder,gentler" Freud. Any DREAMERS out there? ....besides me.
Tried it again but all I managed was a half-wakeful fantasy. Best if the dream manages itself.
There are said to be common RECURRENT dreams--cant find the car etc. What a nobel-award-winning discovery,not to mention fortune -maker if you could schedule them like a movie. Of course noone would ever want to get out of bed.....

I live in a 100 year old farmhouse full of the ghosts of my dead kinsmen.Sometimes I am awakened in the middle of the night when my name is called.Then I sit up and listen attentively hoping they will say more.....but they will not....until that night when they will come for me... "Oh come,Angel Band Come and around me stand" There is nought to fear from ghosts who love you. In the woods nearby is the family cemetary.It's a wonderful place to walk on a clear winter's day.Among the graves a Witch's remains are marked by a slate rock.If you dare go thereat night you will hear the wails and moans of wraiths and banshees in the forrest. They come right up to my face and are outraged that I am unafraid. I love that place.
Granny made a cobbler type pie she called Apple Brown Betty. Also Apple Dumplings which were wondrous. Rhubarb tastes a lot like apple pie.Or other tart fruit.

So they extolled the virtue of contemplative low-key intellectual pursuits because they come without the hangover. Not the Hedonism of today but something to consider.
I have argued before that Moral Propositins may be nothing more than statements of preference. Morality,like beauty, might be determined in "the eye of the beholder" As you pointed out Today's morality is not that of your childhood.Why? The determining factors are probably a fit subject for a dissertation in Sociology. We no longer think of Morals as eternal verities written in stone.Because we discovered--in our recent history as a reflective species--that they are not. I thimk they change mostly for our convenience--simple expediency Of course this is not My Original idea by any stretch of the imagination.I think it is a "language discovery" of the last century. I wont bore you with references.
