Who is Imam Mehdi? Is that the "Twevlth Imam"? Lucifer is the fallen Archangel generally thought to have become Satan, but not the same figure as the Antichrist. I doubt the assertion that this myth is contained in All religions.
You shared that one before Sandi and I couldn't stop listening to it. Ironic, for I never cared much for McCartny just as Ooby_dooby found Orbison not to his liking.. It changes over time just like other tastes. Once I disliked pickled squid....now I eat it all the time... John
I used to listen to a lot of Grateful Dead with certain of my Hippie...uh...associates.There was one about The Black Muddy River....Later I wrote about a "black sometimes river"...Haven't found the Dead tune but it must be available in the original...
Traditional Celtic music seems to be mostly based on sad themes. As is the sound of BagPipes in the open air. Loch Lomond...Danny Boy.. I could listen to that stuff for hours.. Preferably with a cup o'kindness and m' ain tru luv lyin' b'side me. Did you mean like that?
The accent is suspicious.Looks as though she would sound English.Unless she has imitated her Mother's accent. Not likely. What does she want you to do?That will clarify her intention.
Trust is a risk.I already have honor. I do not have you. Do you expect to gain without risk? You could die alone in a cold room. Or you could die in my arms. Point taken?
Last nights'news indicated that he left behind a housefull of notebooks and still had a literary agent. There are two children who will have to decide what to do with the material. For some reason I expect to be disappointed with it.Hope I'm wrong.
Also read today that he had a novel excerpted in The New Yorker years ago which he withdrew from publication. We'll probably see that one,at least. His posthumous work will be worth a fortune to the copyright owners. Hemingway published two or three novels after his death. You could tell what was Hemingway and what was patched together by Mary, his last wife--who villified him btw--and the editors at Schribners'.Sad,sad sad.Vultures picking the bones of genius.Let's hope it wont be like that with Salinger.
Happy birthday Don. It's been both a pleasure and an adventure knowing you and building a friendship over these latter years. I'll not go into sesquipedalian detail regarding the nuances and ramifications of that efflorescense.Noone would believe it anyway.I'd have to write a book...... Suffice to say it's been an enhancement of life. Were I called upon to identify the handful of genuinely GOOD men whom I have known in a lifetime your name would be on that short list and you would be enriched by the company of such heroes as M.B.Hall and E.W.McMahan.Men who were EXACTLY what they puported to be,with no guile or pretense about them. Spring is coming.I will meet you on the river and we will search under the stones....for the Words. Amazing,Wondrous things really do happen to those who permit it. Peace and Goodwill to You,Brother. John
He wrote a masterpiece. His other work is of little consequence and he stopped publishing. If he is to be remembered as an all time great it would be on the basis of a single novel. That's a stretch.
I read, write and fish.Any of those alone could be a full-time obsession. Of the lot Reading seems the more general occupation just because it's so easy to take up-no investment other than your time.
RE: Palin- Limbaugh ....Perfect Match !
I find it both scary and disgusting that people pay any attention at all to these two ZIPS.
