RE: I just dont understand that logic

Harvey, you appear to be almost in awe of your friend, just for his ability to turn a head... confused

Remember a head generally will only turn when youngish, but the respect, and values that you create for your path in life, will more than outweigh any inconsequential encounters.. stay true to yourself.. cheers

RE: Questions on Irish travelers.Let your voice be heard !!

I agree with you Golden Gloss... that remark had nothing whatsoever to do with the story, and it was just rudeness, an attack on physical, which is just NOT ON..!!!

Unfortunately, some just wander in and think it is OK to be rude in a public forum, It isn't !!!!!

RE: In your opinion, which is the MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY in ITALY ?

From Rome.. you catch a fast train for just over an hour to Orvieto.. This place was magic.. all a fortress high on a hill, and from the train you go under and climb up stairs to get to the city at the top... Lovely place.. most beautiful church.. all mosaic with gold..

RE: 6,5 Earthquake centered between Greece and Turkiye

Thanks Cuddly... thumbs up
We had nothing at all on our news..

RE: 6,5 Earthquake centered between Greece and Turkiye

Hiah... sorry for you all.. sad flower

but I scoured our news and nothing mentioned..

RE: May photo comp - Cold Comfort

Yes, I bought the magazine, and read it all.. but chose the Panasonic because of weight... it is very light.

RE: May photo comp - Cold Comfort

Hi Wash..

Just to say, I chose this particular camera because I don't have to wear glasses to see what it is that I am shooting.. This little thing has a screen, but also a thingo you look thru.. and you calibrate it for your own eyes, so I use that, and then put my glasses on to see the settings on the screen.. but this is a newy thing.. I don't think Rob's Cannon has this..

If you look up the camera, you can see what I mean.. this thingo also tilts at whatever angle you put it..

RE: May Photo Com - Cold comfort

Well done everyone... nice photos..
applause

7 Get comfy... (fire looks a lot like mine and I love it)

10 Happy's comfort drink... ( nice going, am going to have that)

9 Missed birdie.. ( very pretty)

5 Desert In SA... ( and although not a fan of red dirt.. you can see it is cold from that photo.. well done.)

6 Warm spot... ( nice puppies, clever puppies, know where they need to sit...)

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

Oh... of course, I make a point of going to the beach for a swim on a hot summers night... straight from work,

you know.. after those 40+ degree days, where the buildings in the city just radiate heat, and its uncomfortably hot..

Yep.. the whole of Adelaide congregates on the beaches on those nights, and the sea gulls have a feast, cleaning up after everyones dinner.. lol. laugh

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

thanks to you both... Unlaoised and Uptall... would love it.
applause

We don't expect wet summers, but we hope like heck that we get enough to fill up the reservoirs during the winter... and its a good sign when it begins to rain early..

Sorry Ali, I guess I spoilt your chances of accumulating a Harem of wives..

BTW.. good luck with that... and a gentle tip..

choose from your own area... I promise you... you will be a much happier man... grin

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

It isn't jolly fair to be truthful... you get all that glorious rain that we yearn for... and

You get to spend the day in bed... laugh

Bugga !!!!!!!

Stop hogging the rain, and send some down under... ta.. applause

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

Fair enough, but surely your sun should be smiling about this time of the year.??.

RE: Is technology slowly killing eye contact and above all killing us?is media social network a good or

This is interesting, but here is another view for you to ponder..

I spend the day with a lot of people at work...

When I come home, I don't want to talk anymore..I am generally over being with and talking to people..

Somedays, I am way too tired for anything except a lie on the ground with the tele for company... but other times.. I am OK with a screen..

So, to answer your question... I really like my lappy.. I read all the news and current affairs, and have some banter with friends.. and it is fine...

My point is... that even if technology was not around, I would not go and seek other people nor activities.. I like my quiet..

Weekends are a different story... that is the time to actually have some energy to do, go and be outdoors..

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

You sure about that.. every time I view you.. I think oh for the love of god, he has forgotten to get out of his bed again.. laugh

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

Oh.. meaty.. you like meat then... so do I..

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

However, if we all married you...

hang a sec, lets make this interesting.. laugh

I could choose our harem.. ...( you know.. the group of your best admirers,)
doh

you would, without doubt.. be the loneliest fella in the world..

Jest mucking around with you.. as your idea of marriage is certainly not mine...

You would be throwing your hat in the door every time you came home.. just to sense the mood..

Oh.. Wait.. throw money.. that would do it.. angel

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

Oh... for goodness sake. Ali..

do you really think that I would want to be part of an Ali harem... not a chance dear lad...

and as for competition.. with other wives... helloo..... anyone home there.. laugh

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

something along the lines of ' I could slap you for a month and not get bored' applause

RE: Ladies, Big one for you

you forgot to mention disdain.. grin

RE: Mom and Dad could actually dance too!!!!

Thanks for sharing that video... it is really brilliant.. and yes.. I used to be able to dance like that..

When a bunch of us were learning to dance, we often used these videos.. those couples were smooth, and that is what we aimed for.
There was an American video going around called 'Jive Bunny' featuring the opening song.. Chattenuga Choo Choo.. and

it was a very good learning to dance video. ... wish I could find it now.. just for the fun of remembering. wave

RE: The Late Late Is That The Time Thread !!!

Gracious Brannigan, wave

I hope you woke up feeling very refreshed.. grin

It'll be my nodland time very soon... yawn
