Well it's only wishful thinking. I'm not that rich or anything but I don't like the idea of being stuck with a mortgage if I loose my job. Even if renting is a bit more it's worth the peace of mind for me.
Well I'm kind of outside of Dublin so yes maybe in the city it is more expensive. My aim is to buy a house straight up for cash.. no mortgage or loans involved. At least then if I loose my job I won't have a noose around my neck. I think it will be possible in 2011.
The people who had common sense during the boom i.e. the losers and wasters are now going to reign in post IMF Ireland. Woman will be be throwing themselves at us. We are the kings
Well I'm 37. Didn't buy a property, have no negative equity, cheap rent, a 10 year old car, lots of saving so that makes me....oh I don't have woman so I'm still a complete looser
There is nothing much interesting on TV any more apart from X factors and shopping channels and day time depressing talk shows etc... It just wastes the precious hours of your life.
I kind of feel sorry for Lenihan. At least he's trying his best and appears to be shouldering all the pressure on his own and he's ill at the same time. I would have left last year if I was him. He was given a poisoned chalice to begin with. It was Berti, Cowan, McCrevey and all the other gombeens around the country who did the damage (not to mention clowns like Eddie Hobbs telling everybody to get on the property ladder with the SSIAs making pure eejets out of people)
Canada was the first far away place I went to in 1993. It was a summer job for 3 months when I was in college. It was hard work as furniture and the first time being young and 5000 miles from home. A fantastic outdoor Neil Young concert on a hot summer's evening and a greyhound bus trip from Toronto to Vancouver and back. Never feared travelling since.
Maybe go see some horror movie in the cinema. At least if the date turns out bad you can say "well at least I'm not in the position that those characters in that movie were in ... phew"
