It aint gona work for ya unless there are definitive restrictions like we have here in AU. U can still own guns here but its very restrictive as to what type/power etc.
It has worked for us thats fo sho'
I really dont know whats more despondant with the US.
The treatment of the cure that is crime, or the giving up and paranoia that dogs those who hold guns.
Personally says alot about the governments previous + current that its citizens dont feel safe.
tell ya the truth im conflicted about the bailouts
in my opinion the base problem is education
chipping away at that foundation has led to a many tentacled illness that has a part in us not being an inventive attractive workforce
other countries do things differently than we do i dunno why we are so averse to borrowing ideas that are working
japan uk etc
there are pieces we could be borrowing but if i get into it i get called a socialist which in many ways i am
im sick of the million invisible kids homeless that wont eat tonight and dont attend school in the "greatest nation in the world" (quote)
Yes it is a shame. And i sympathise with what your sentiments.
However i dont think the bailouts can be attributed to a lack of education, but i agree putting the money towards it would definitely be far more beneficial.
There is something to be said of a well educated + informed society
While i dont consider obama the messiah, and he is president at the hardest time in near living memory (excluding the great depression) i am really not sure who could be better placed to try and tackle the grave state of the union is in.
:-)When Bill Clinton went to NKorea to get the two reporters out of the country, he did not use a FEDERAL Government jet. Though the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT has over a 1000 corporate jets and just bought 8 more. No, former President Clinton, who was on government business and government for this, used a supporter and donator private aircraft.
Why is that?
Because the President Obama administration was so concerned about the public opinion of the back door talks that had emerged over this with the NKoreans...they did not want it to appear that this was a US Government sponsored mission... Or... they simply did not want former President Clinton (husband of Sect. Clinton) to be seen in a FEDERAL Government Jet with that big old American Flag near the doorway....and all those pics that would have been taken with a Clinton standing in the doorway (quote) Tom, do u really think anyone cares which plane brought them home?
