Matthew 16:19.... The context of this verse must be examined if the meaning of binding and loosing is to be discovered. In verses 13-15 Jesus inquired of His disciples concerning other's opinions as it pertained to His identity. After a few responses Jesus inquired of the disciples who they thought He was. Simon Peter answered saying, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (v. 16).
Jesus responded to Peter's confession by promising him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Jesus continued to say, "And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (v. 16:19).
The authority to bind and loose was inextricably joined with the possession of the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Those keys belonged to the kingdom and allowed entrance into it just as keys belong to a door and allow one to unlock it, thereby allowing entrance into the particular locale. Peter received the keys by believing and confessing Jesus to be the Messiah, the Son of God.

The key to the kingdom is the Gospel, which is the power of God to salvation to those who believe. Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..." (Rom. 1:16).
Peter used the key of the Gospel to open the door for the Jews on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The New Testament does not show Peter exercising special authority beyond this, and it was an authority which was exercised by all the disciples. THE TRINITY..... The Divine name for God is a plural word. (Genesis 1:1) - "In the beginning GOD" (Elohim). Elohim is a plural noun and suggests the Trinity and this is the most common name for God in the OLD TESTAMENT.

Death does not mean extinction. The words "perish," "destroy," and "lost" in the King James Version are all used for the same Greek word apollumi, meaning "that which is no longer useful." It is also used in Matthew 9:17; 10:6; etc.
The doctrine of hell makes it very clear the departed lost from this life suffer in the next
Jesus says of the man in Luke 16: 23 "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS. . . " 24 ". . . for I am TORMENTED in this FLAME." 28 ". . .PLACE OF TORMENT."
The Bible describes it as weeping (Matt 8:12), wailing (Matt 13:42), gnashing of teeth (Matt 13:50), darkness (Matt 25:30), flames (Luke 16:24), burning (Isa 33:14), torments (Luke 16:23), everlasting punishment! Jesus Christ says in Matthew 25:41, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels."
In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
Rev. 14:11: "The smoke of their TORMENT ascendeth up for EVER AND EVER: and they ( the lost who havd died ) have NO REST DAY NOR NIGHT."
God is SOVEREIGNTY .... This term defines the fact and nature of God's volition. Since God possesses volition, He makes decisions, plans, policies, etc. (Gen.1:3, 26). Due to His nature, He has no rivals as He exercises supreme power and rule over everyone and everything. There is nothing outside His jurisdiction (Deut.4:39; Ps.93:1,2; Isa.44:6-8; 45:5-8,18). As the absolute authority in the universe, He alone possesses authority as a part of His essence, which He may or may not exercise, as He sees fit (Job.34:13-15).
The human has a choice....

God promised a Savioir He did what He said he would....."I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things ( past prophecies) have taken place, and new things I declare; ( future predictions ) before they spring into being I announce them to you."[ Isa 42:8,9 ]

God's Testimony about Jesus comes through prophecy...” Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son [ throught Prophecy ]”.[ 1 John 5:9-10 ]

In Acts 17:31, Paul told the Athenians, "'For he [ God ] has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man ( Jesus ) he has appointed. HE HAS GIVEN PROOF OF THIS TO ALL MEN BY RAISING HIM ( JESUS ) FROM THE DEAD.
There you have it God is not going to accept anyones excuses for not believing he will judge accordingly...

Matthew 16:19....The context of this verse must be examined if the meaning of binding and loosing is to be discovered. In verses 13-15 Jesus inquired of His disciples concerning other's opinions as it pertained to His identity. After a few responses Jesus inquired of the disciples who they thought He was. Simon Peter answered saying, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (v. 16).
Jesus responded to Peter's confession by promising him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Jesus continued to say, "And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (v. 16:19).
The authority to bind and loose was inextricably joined with the possession of the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Those keys belonged to the kingdom and allowed entrance into it just as keys belong to a door and allow one to unlock it, thereby allowing entrance into the particular locale. Peter received the keys by believing and confessing Jesus to be the Messiah, the Son of God.
"Indeed, the confession of Jesus as the Messiah is the key to entrance into the kingdom."
Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess…the LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead (then), thou shalt be saved.”

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WERE NOT GIVEN TO PETER ALONE, BUT TO THE OTHER DISCIPLES AS WELL. After Jesus' resurrection, He spoke to all the disciples, saying, "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained" (John 20:23).
Joh 20:21 Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you. Joh 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit: Joh 20:23 whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
The key to the kingdom is the Gospel, which is the power of God to salvation to those who believe. Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..." (Rom. 1:16).
Peter used the key of the Gospel to open the door for the Jews on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). He also used the key of the Gospel to open the door of salvation to the Gentiles when he preached Jesus to Cornelius (Acts 10). The New Testament does not show Peter exercising special authority beyond this, and it was an authority which was exercised by all the disciples.
In Matthew 16, the Lord Jesus Christ is not making Peter the first pope,( another Roman farce ) but is reaffirming that He Himself is the Rock, the Head of the Church, and that Peter's testimony of Christ is the key whereby the door to salvation and the Kingdom of God would be opened to all who believe.
