I'm proud of who I am and my heritage. I wouldn't change a thing, but if others found it a problem, and I was trying to get a date, then it would certainly become a problem for me.
Of course, it could be just my photos women don't like, but no, I won't even let that enter my mind as these pics are staying (had more photo-sessions than Kate Moss since trying online datin!!!)
I had to think long and hard before posting this......
As you'll notice from my profile, if you take a look, I'm of mixed race, bi-racial, or whatever you want to call it. And although I obviosuly don't have an issue if people racially inter-mix within relationships, I suppose it's obvious that some will, which is again, fine, as long as they don't affect me in any way.
Now here's the thing.......I'm wondering if my being of mixed-race is affecting my dating, or lack of dating, should I say......lol? Not that I could do anything about it of course, and nor would I want to.
I'm not looking for a problem here, but just considering all possibilities in a hopefully logical manner and trying to help myself get to the root of my singledom, and would like other peoples' opinions on my thoughts. Of course, I'd like to think I'm barking up the wrong tree, but it would surely be naive to discount it completely?
I'm in a very rural part of France (moving not an option right now), but have tried to intergrate, learning the language (as far as I can go with no one to practice with) and have also contacted French members or even ex-pats from the UK and other countries, but to no avail. I might add, I've been trying this for several years on various sites and haven't had one date as yet!!
I'll certainly keep on keeping on, as I'm not a quitter. It's just it gets very demoralizing sometimes, as I'm sure you'll all be very aware of already
Personally I'm finding it very difficult, as despite my friendly disposition, I never get messages, never get replies if I send messages, and the few friends I thought I'd made don't stay in touch.
For me, it depends on the woman's face really, and what suits her.
I like long hair a lot, but saying that, love a nicely cut 'bob' style, and even quite a short crop can be attractive, if she has the facial features to pull it off :)
