When i was about 17 i worked next to a Hairdressing shop , lol
I was serving an apprenticeship and recieved £3.50 a week wich i needed £3 for expenses leaving me 10 shilling {50p} for extras .
I managed to ask the receptionist for a date ,highly delited for the rest of the week that she said yes {and also her being 19, looking stunning ,a double of Julie Driscoli was delited for the rest of the week . I met her for a drink in a local Pub the next Saturday following. Only having {50p} to my name ,
This at the time would buy us both a drink with maybe a few pennies change ,
What i was going to do after the first drink i dont know , lol Sometimes my head doesnt think that far .
Anyway ,after making sure she was seated properly i asked what she would like to drink , a Sherry she replied . lol
So off to the Bar returning with a Sherry and a Pint ,and placed the drinks on the table , then taking my coat off knocked the Drinks all over the table
Then having to explain i had no more money and had to take her home .
I was always under the impression it was a Scotts from the Lowlands of Scotland {The Brave } got to put the brave bit it cause they are especialy in battle
They reckon regrets are bad for us ,but i have to say i have a few ,{only human i suppose }
Had a job for over 30 yrs wich i loved etc , worked a 15 hour day wich i never complained about and couldnt waite for Monday morning to come ,loved every minute ,,
But it never put much money in my pocket .
Maybe next time i"ll get a job were i can look out an office window all day and get paid 5 times as much ,
