Now don't get me wrong here...but, if you go on a date with a (politically incorrect term here) I think that the date should exercise restrain when it comes to eating if he or she is not paying for it.
One thing that I just can't stand is a mooch and a fat mooch I just simply find distasteful in the restaurant, when I'm working-out the money for the meal.
very mad
What ever happened to "eating like a bird" when you out in public on a date (and getting a free meal) ???

If you find a fat person distastebul, why take her to a restaurant? Why get involved with her at all? You want her to eat like a bird when out with you but that wouldn'tbe be true to who she is. Even if she did eat like a bird when out with you, do you think she's always going to eat bird seed when you're out in public? I'm a bit overweight and when I go out with someone I don't stuff myself mainly because I don't like that full feeling AND because I'm not someone who orders the most expensive thing on the menu. In fact, I go out of my way not to order something expensive.

Restaurants advertise plates piled high with food, all you can eat salad bars, refills, that's why obesity is rampant in America. If a woman fills her plate to the rim, she's there for the food, not for you. She might be dating just to avoid going food shopping.cheers

OMG, you are so going to be alone for the rest of your life with that attitude.

OR, you can start saving up for when you decide to ask a big girl out so then you can afford the meal, OR you can ration the food out and put your foot down and explain the "No Side order/desert Policy"

Yes I think it could work.

Try and concentrate on her wine glass, not her food. The more you can get her to drink, the less she'll eat. And the faster you'll be out of the restaurant,(why you would take her to one in the first place , I can't imagine).
If you insist on a restaurant, take her to an ethnic restaurant; they do not pile it on. Better yet, take the woman to an African restaurant; food is delicious, even healthier than most other places, and in small portions. (Load her up on Nigerian beer!)She may actually lose weight...laugh

wow You think of your dates as mooches who are out for a free meal? That would hurt my feelings if I found out I was out with someone who felt that way and I would rather pay for my own meal than to have someone suffer hardship because of trying to pay for it. There are less expensive ways to get to know someone than taking them to dinner. And I am a big eater uh oh but not till I get to know you. Shyness stops me from eating to much in the beginning. laugh So I prefer coffee dates. Or walks through museums or craft fairs to start with. I am sure there are lots of ladies who feel the same way as I. Best of luck on your searchbouquet
