Eating a lot in one sitting has nothing to do with beeing overweight. The people who are overweight tend to eat more unhealthy and more often. I´m a male who measure 184cm (6ft) and weigh in at 79kg (174lbs). My bodyfat percentage is 12.1% and it´s not unusual that I eat 1.2kg (2.6lbs) chicken fillet in one sitting. I eat 2-3 meals a day during eight hours, the 16 hours that are left of the day I eat nothing. It´s called "intermittent fasting" and a lot of people that work out a lot eats like that. You can read about it here

So if you meet fitness woman that eats a lot in one sitting would you ask the same question?

I have just returned to this site so I can´t judge if you´re for real or not but I can hint a smell of troll.

Yeah, I eat a lot more than most women or guys but that only started after I got into weight lifting.

pops666: Could be true Montecito but it still stands size in this case doesnt matter...I have a nephew who works hard and eats less than a bird and is still 300lbs. his is a medical disorder..enough on that tho ...wether male or female some people like you said are there for the free meal
I'm a (retired) medical technician. You are right, there are conditions that pre-empt obesity. HOWEVER, and I'm going to use laymans' terms here, make it free of medical jargon for our non-technical crowd--your cells develop a husk (mantle) of sorts. In short, they can become like a trap door; allowing fats and acids that contain fats IN, but not OUT. If you can find out how (and there are ways) to eradicate that "husk", then the ebb and flow improves. Dieting doesn't work, because as the body's metabolism "catches on" that you are depriving it, it begins shutting down, storing each and every calorie. That's why we often hear overweight people say, "I don't get it. I'm hardly eating at all". They are telling the truth, but going about the attempt to lose weight the wrong way. Fluids, fluids, fluids. Lots and lots of raw fruits and veggies. Just like your momma told you. Lots of good, routine exercise, even if it's only walking. I hesitate to give this type of advice, but all this that I have said is tried and true. Americans, by the way, overall, eat at least DOUBLE what they need to. It's a re-training issue, and it's tough, but many do it.

single4ever: So how does this equate to older women or when women just fast? Sometimes I fast for a few days. Personally; guys can see in my build that I take care of myself so whether I eat a lot of food or choose to fast it really doesn't make any difference.

justabum: Now don't get me wrong here...but, if you go on a date with a (politically incorrect term here) I think that the date should exercise restrain when it comes to eating if he or she is not paying for it.
One thing that I just can't stand is a mooch and a fat mooch I just simply find distasteful in the restaurant, when I'm working-out the money for the meal.

What ever happened to "eating like a bird" when you out in public on a date (and getting a free meal) ???

Un-groovy. Let me guess...a large woman let you buy dinner and then didn't give you any later on. tongue

Ah, I have a good appetite, although I am by no means fat. Normally guys are pleased if I like food, and they say it. You seem to be quite tight guy, are not you? Or may be your finances are tight. But what is a point to pretend that you can pay for those meals, if you can't in fact?

Way back in the dark ages when I started to date after my divorce I remember being as nervous as heck to eat in front of a man. I wound up with a splitting headache even before he picked me up cause I didn't know how to eat in front of a man other then my husband who was the only man in my life. My date would even tell me to order dessert but I wouldn't....not because I didn't want to get fat....but because I didn't want the bill to get bigger.

I still don't eat big when on a date but I also don't eat food such as a hamburger where you have to pick it up and get a messy mouth and hands. I rarely even eat a salad cause that too can be messy. Dining out for me is more about being with the person who I think is nice. I especially want to laugh and if all goes well it will end with a goodnight kiss. Dining out isn't about eating as strange as that may sound. It's a way to enjoy each others company..dancing

Hi! I totally agree with you. Sounds to me like this guy is very concerned about saving his pennies and I'm sure he has nothing-emotional-to offer. Yikes!

sweetsky: I think this is one of the saddest threads I have ever read. Are you serious: What a complete joke!! Am thinking your cheap butt should just stay home and enjoy some hamburger helper!!

montecito: That's how I do it. I never go on a dinner date for a first date and I always pay split the bill on coffee dates. One time I went to a Chinese diner and the guy point blank asked me for money for the tip. I gave him the money AND split the bill. Then he walked me to my car and wanted a kiss. No way Jose and I pushed his away..

I would stay away from dinner dates too with men I don't know enough. I imagine that guys may try to impress ladies and take many of them to dinners, and so strain their budgets. So, I better just go for coffee and may be walk. But when I dated a guy, he did pay for restaurants all the way. I made meals at home.
