I've been on and off the forum, I've actually got the TV on, a rarity for me, I'm watching Lady Gaga in concert, The Monsters Ball at Maddison Square Gardens. You either love her or hate her, I think she's amazing and her singing is brilliant live.
Just opened a card from my best friend (the one who is like a sister to me) She wrote and I quote "I love reading what you write,it's just like you are right beside me"
I have a small circle of friends, who are very much like myself, we are totally honest and relaxed around one another, I also have one very close friend, we are more like sisters really, we grew up together and we seem to sense a lot about one another, like if one of us is sick, the other seems to pick up on it.
I do get on with most people,I don't try to impress people, I am what I am, so if people can't accept that, then they aren't worth knowing in the first place.
CS is a classic example of some people trying to be what they are not.....some tell you how full their lives are, what assets they've got etc, trying to impress you.....in reality their live are very mundane...(I can speak from experience here!)
WARNING! There's been a fight in the biscuit tin. A lad called Rocky, hit a Penguin over the head with a Club, tied him to a Wagon Wheel with a Blue Ribbon and made his Breakaway in a Taxi. Police say Rocky was last seen just After Eight in Maryland with a Ginger Nut as a accomplice only known to the police as Rich T. ...They didn't leave a crumb of evidence, so the Jammie Dodger might get away with it!!!
I'm having home made Macaroni Cheese (mine has diced smokey bacon and onions) with a crusty bread roll....if I'm not too stuffed I have some "Rolo" desserts in the fridge, they are just so scrummy...mwah
The joys of a dating site "The Scammers" just delete or block them, they are easy to identify.
Give yourself time here, this is a big place, joining in on some of the forums is a good way of meeting people. There are some genuinely friendly people here, if you don't find the person of your dreams, you'd have at least made a friend or two along the way.
My dad's cousin sent me part of our family tree,it goes back to my Great Great Grandad, he was born in 1894.....I've only just glanced at it so far....the amazing thing is,this came all the way from Australia, via a distant relative....it will be something I can pass on to my children.
A few years ago, my ex and I were going to fish some lakes in Cornwall for a few days. To avoid the morning traffic we set off at 4am, as it only takes about 90 minutes to get there. Just as we went around the roundabout in to a little place called Victoria in Wadebridge, we noticed we were being followed by a police car, it appeared out of nowhere. So we pulled over,as the police indicated, they both came over to us, wouldn't allow us to get out of the car. One policeman was checking the Tax Disc and tyres, lights etc,the other was chatting to us as to where we were going, we told him,we were fishing for a few days. The police then told us to get out of the car and empty the back of the car, which was an estate car at that time, there was 6 rods, 2 Bivvies, 2 sleeping bags,2 fishing beds, a holdall with our change of clothing, food in a cool box and everything else we needed for camping out. After removing everything, which they didn't even check, they told us to reload the car.....at this point I said to one of them, well that was a pointless exercise wasn't it.....he replied that the car seemed pretty well loaded up for that time of the day, so I told him that's not unusual seeing as we were going for a few days break! They then got in their car and drove off! I did wonder if they stopped every car that had luggage etc in the back of it.....probably not. I say the 2 of them were bored and decided to play with us.....we got a Camper Van after that,
