I tend to follow both, however there are times at which my head dominates or vice versa...then i know its a problem...there was a time my heart dominated, and i put mysself in a bad situation, there was a time when my head dominated and I missed out...but oh well, live and learn...
Long distance relationships can be a tricky issue. It depends on the situation preventing the two from being together, and how long they've known each other. A friend of mine met her husband 10 years ago when she was doing study abroad here, only for them to date on and off for those 10 years and have an open relationship. Now they are happily married. I personally don't think i could handle a long-distance relationship at this point in time, not that I could handle any relationship right now. So, like i said, I think its dependant on person and situation.
Tickets to the next World Cup are definitely my goal as well...that would knock off two things of my list to do before i die...see the World Cup and go to Africa (want to travel after that too).
Don't know how many of you have been following the soccer, however i have been...and tonight Italy claimed the World Cup title. They haven't won a World Cup since 1982, and only managed to win in the penalty shoot-out although they were up one man from France having lost their captain to a red card. In two years the European Cup finds its way to my hometown, to Austria, and in four years the World Cup will be in South Africa.
My dream vacation would be a plane ticket that went around the world and allowed me to choose each country, city, town, park, nation wonder, or whatever I wanted to see. It would also allow me to see major events (i.e. if it were occuring now, I would have a ticket to the final World Cup game in Berlin). If only such a ticket existed...
Hey Alex! You sure he's been through enough training? As J well knows, I like my men throughly trained, just like some friends of mine he's met here.... Hope everyone is doing well...I'm trying to not die of heat exhaustion..yech, I hate humid heat with a passion!! Enough babbling. BTW, who wants to write a paper for me???
Alrighty...here's the scoop...so J was here for about two weeks, just a little over. He has managed to somehow impress my father (not an easy thing to do), and he also impressed me. He was as sweet in person as he was before we met. It fell quickly into a comfort zone of having been in a relationship for awhile, which is also why I think we pushed each other's boundaries a couple of times...but we came out alright. I did enjoy my time with him, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in London!
This site definitely leads to meeting interesting people...in fact, someone I met online through this site is here now in Vienna, and we've been having a pretty good time. He is a sweety and does know how to cook and how to make me pretty happy... Good luck to you and your search!
Thanks Kris! We enjoyed talking with you last night as well, and thanks to everyone else who wishes us well. So far we're enjoying each other's company, and the food issue has been solved by Justin cooking and me doing dishes. We wish you well on your journey as well, and keep us posted! Ciao, Mags & Justin
I am SO lost...haven't been on CS much lately (in the forums) because of this project week...but apparently I've missed A LOT of stuff...Paws has left, some thread was removed, a couple of people are in "detention"....geez....hope it all gets sorted soon.
Lol, it happened awhile ago...known that he's been coming here for about a month...no worries, you can still have a runner, cuz I hate running (kills my knee)
Ok people...starting to get nervous (and excited)...tenacious_j will be here tomorrow!!! LOL, doesn't help i'm half delusional from the lack of sleep I've been getting this week (nothing to do with j...been having to leave VERY early for work...5:30, which means getting up at 4:30am!!! Oi!!!). Well, i'm sure it'll be alright!
I certainly wouldn't want to be blind...however I worked throughout college in an assisted living facility, and one person there was a quadraplegic...I wouldn't want to be in his position either...to lose any of the 5 senses is horrible.
Oi, the time is getting nearer, and i'm getting more nervous...LOL. Oh well, by the time he gets here on friday I'll be completely knackered, so won't be too nervous (I think? I hope?)...teaching an english project week this week and have to leave at 5:30 each morning...and I'm a nightowl...LOL. What the heck am i rambling on about? Oh well...party on!
