RE: Diaz vs McGregor 2

Diaz beat him last time when he had only 11 days to prepare for it, how does McGregor think he'll take him this time round.

RE: United Ireland

I'd like to see a UI but it won't happen because A) the Prods would never agree to it and anyway we don't need the hassle of having to deal with their tantrums and B) we couldn't afford to pay for the place.

It already costs the Brits 11 billion a year even as part of the EU, it'll be a lot more now.

RE: ireland v france

All over now.

RE: leave = brexit consequences

OK but isn't being part of the EU better for getting investment and jobs for your country?

I work with a guy from Bulgaria and the wages there are very small.

RE: leave = brexit consequences

True, but they all benefit from EU money.

The EU needs reform, maybe there might be some chance it will happen if Merkel and some of the old guard ever decides to step down.

RE: leave = brexit consequences

I read somewhere that the Czech Rep are looking for a referendum as well, strange one that.

The Eastern European countries have done well out of the EU being able to move to countries like mine where they earn more in a week than they would in a month back home.

RE: leave = brexit consequences

Wrong, it's you that has to pay for Northern Ireland now.

RE: leave = brexit consequences

Some people in NI are calling for a vote on a United Ireland, they seem to be forgetting that it's us here in the Republic that would be paying for it.

Northern Ireland already cost the British taxpayer about £11 billion a year, that will rise even more now.

RE: will you be surporting northern ireland in the football?

Indeed it is, hopefully Ireland do the same.

RE: will you be surporting northern ireland in the football?

The Hungarian/Portugal game is a cracker.

RE: Should Britain leave the EU?

Not sure what will happen in Northern Ireland if the UK votes to leave, looks like there will be border checks back again between them and us and a lot of paperwork to fill out when transporting goods over the border.

RE: who would win in a REAL street fight?

Could go either way, a street fight is just that, no rules.

Although isn't Norris in his 70s by now.

RE: will you be surporting northern ireland in the football?

No.

RE: Donad Trump's "AMERICA FIRST" Foreign Policy Speech

Slovenia should be happy if he wins it, he might throw a few dollars their way.

RE: Which form of government do you like most?

A centre right Government would be my preference, although there is a trend developing here towards voting for the looney left socialists, not a good thing IMO.

Surprised that Sanders is so popular with voters in America, it's not a country I would have associated with socialism.

RE: For The Guys

Way to go missing the point of the thread, Ghandi ain't got much to say these days anyway.

1916 Commemoration

Jaysus you put a lot of thought into that answer laugh

1916 Commemoration

Care to elaborate on that statement?

1916 Commemoration

No it really wasn't a pity, what on earth would we want that lot there for.

1916 Commemoration

Was watching it on the tele earlier on, though it was well done.

Gerry Adams refused entry to The White House last night.

Seems a bit strange seeing as he was let in there every year before this.

He had an invite to the event he was due to attend and after being taken one side by the Secret Service guys was left waiting for an hour and a half before he left as the event was over by then anyway.

No reason was given as to why he was refused admittance.

RE: 1916 is when us Irish were free from British rule

How about you get your facts right and read the thread title.

RE: 1916 is when us Irish were free from British rule

We couldn't afford to take it back even if the Prods agreed to a United Ireland (which they won't).

It costs the Brits a couple of billion a year to keep Northern Ireland going and I don't think it's any real asset to them anymore.

Actually things have never been as friendly between ourselves and the British, lots of them live here and vice versa.

Connor McGregor beaten

It was a good fight, thought McGregor held his own in the first round but when Diaz got him on the ground he was the better man.

RE: Would Donald Trump make a good President

As an outsider looking on Ted Cruz seems to be a bit of a religious nut, not the best man to have in charge of the most powerful military machine in history.

Trump seems to be get caught a bit in the debates when policy comes up but he certainly seems to be popular with voters.

RE: Most attractive thing???

A nice face, slim body as well.

McGregor vs Aldo

Twas a short fight!

McGregor vs Aldo

Should be a good fight, although I think if Aldo get him on the ground Connor might be in trouble.

RE: Anybody else think it is wrong?.....

Must be easy shock the OP if a drawing on a religion book has her in a tizzy.

RE: charle sheen

Doubtful I'd imagine!
