RE: OVER 30 YEARS.

Why would you think 35 would be too old? Im 36 and dont have any yet but don think im too old.

RE: What was the........

Watched the Last of the Mochicans, great film. Daniel day Lewis ia a good actor and the film itself is brilliant.

RE: Will you wave the Union Flag when the Queen vists....or allow your kids...

I know and i have no problem with them regarding themselves as British but it shows what a dislike some of them have for us on this part of the Island.

RE: Will you wave the Union Flag when the Queen vists....or allow your kids...

Really? And how do you know that?

RE: Will you wave the Union Flag when the Queen vists....or allow your kids...

Why would an Irish person wave a union jack? Would a unionist wave the tricolour? No they wouldnt they burn our flag every year in their bonfires dont they.

RE: Queen of England visit to Dublin should it go ahead

Northern Ireland is a part of Ireland under British rule its not British, theres a difference! And im sure half the population there would take exception to people on this thread referring to them as British.

RE: Queen of England visit to Dublin should it go ahead

And in answer to the question im not bothered if she comes or not, as long as no union jacks come out like the orangemen had on display a few years ago in Dublin.

RE: Queen of England visit to Dublin should it go ahead

The money they handed us!!!!! That money will have to be paid back with interest and if you were watching Sky News they did a lot of whinging about giveing it. Get the facts right.

Ireland V England

I know it is disappointing for England with the Grand Slam on the line.

Ireland V England

Ireland are playing like a team posessed well done Irelandireland

RE: fathers?

My father was a good bit older than my mother so he was a man of a different generation. He was a good person but wouldnt say we were really close like i was to my mother. You would think you would miss both parents the same when they are gone but i missed my mother a lot more.

RE: Barak Obama is to visit Ireland in May

Maybe hes coming the same day as queen lizzie

RE: Irish language

That must be how my family ended up in Galway

RE: Mass Attendance in Ireland

Those thing happen its part of life that people will die. It hasnt anything to do with a god.

RE: Irish language

We didnt nick it you forced us to speak it

RE: What is your favorite sport?

Hurling, one of the oldest and most skilful games in world, and its played for love of the game not like those overpaid soccer players.

RE: tattoos

I think a tattoo on the lower back looks good on a woman.

RE: Turning down a job that pays €28k per year

Same here thats how i was raised as well, hope you find something that suits you soon you have a good attitude. I think people will have to try and help themselves cos i dont have much faith that the government will be any better than the last lot.

RE: Why do women automatically go for looks rather than personality!

I want to know what women really go for looks or personality?[/quote
I think both men and women like to have both looks and personality in a partner. We are all only human and you need to be attracted to someone. I was dating someone in the past, lovely person but the attraction just wasnt there. Maybe that makes me sound a bit shallow but just being honest.

RE: Turning down a job that pays €28k per year

Well there is something wrong if the situation is that someone makes more on benefits than working. And that needs to be looked at and solved. Cos i dont want my taxes supporting people who can find work but couldnt be bothered cos they make more sitting at home on their arses.

RE: Turning down a job that pays €28k per year

Well may be you should read it correctly next time. I dont know where you got the idea that the "majority" of Irish people would turn down a 28k job. And the people who turned down the job wernt even Irish so get your facts straight before going on a rant about our country.

RE: Raising the FLag

Good post, we should be proud of our flagireland

RE: Mick Wallace

Yes he does seem an honest man but he is a developer none the less. If this situation is correct then he should resign. Either way he would be a lone voice drowned out in a huge coalition government as he is independant.

RE: Exit poll for 2011 general election

Its great that the Greens were kicked out. Hope they never get back. They were never popular this side of the country anyway.

RE: Exit poll for 2011 general election

Ah but the smell of power is too strong for them to resist. Gilmore was nearly pissing himself over the last few days in case FG had enough seats to go it alone.

RE: Exit poll for 2011 general election

Labour did well in Leinster/Munster but here in Connacht they still arent popular. They could loose a lot of support from the public sector next time out and that was always their traditional vote base.

RE: Exit poll for 2011 general election

Yes it was a great election for SF all right. That Pearse Doherty is a smart guy he knows his stuff. He will have a long career in politics i think.

RE: Exit poll for 2011 general election

Its been a wipe out for FF. Doubtful if they will ever recover from it. Looks like they may have gone the same way as SF did in the 1920s.

RE: THE GREAT DISASTER EPIC: 35 YEARS IN THE MAKING.

Lol good point. The guy makes no sense though. my real fear though is that Enda Kenny wont be a strong enough Taoiseach to lead the country. But time will tell. He will have a war on his hands though when he takes on the public sector.

RE: Exit poll for 2011 general election

Should make interesting viewing towards evening/night time as a better picture forms. Id say a lot of well known faces will be gone and looks like Adams will be taking his seat in the Dail.
