Aahhh well, I guess I should be kicked off this site in about......6 months. By that time I would have pulled my head in and behaved. There are plenty of sites available.
I think the answer is simple. Tell his Dad to take back the responsibilty toward his Son. The kid probably feels deserted and neglected and is hurting like hell.
Profiles only allow us to say very little about ourselves human beings are multi-faceted and have a wide range of emotions and thoughts on a wide range of subjects. Forums are probably the best way to get to know people.
Your sons teacher is only his teacher for a short time. You are his mum for life. A child would find it very hard to come to terms with and it may affect his schooling, especially at the age he is.
I would wait until he gets a new teacher so he is not so close to the situation. We make so many sacrifices for our children as it is. Perhaps you need to gauge how your son feels about this man without spilling the beans to him.
You deserve happiness too, especially if this man feels the same way. I have had a similar experience, where I had an affair with a teacher from my sons school. It eventually died away but, no one, including my children ever found out. Im glad about that. My children are teenagers. 15 and 16. I think they would have been mortified.
