my kids are layed back kid's, nothing bothers them really , just saying if that was a sign that he was kinda asking me out since we exchanged emails' . is all .

Your sons teacher is only his teacher for a short time. You are his mum for life. A child would find it very hard to come to terms with and it may affect his schooling, especially at the age he is.
I would wait until he gets a new teacher so he is not so close to the situation. We make so many sacrifices for our children as it is. Perhaps you need to gauge how your son feels about this man without spilling the beans to him.
You deserve happiness too, especially if this man feels the same way. I have had a similar experience, where I had an affair with a teacher from my sons school. It eventually died away but, no one, including my children ever found out. Im glad about that. My children are teenagers. 15 and 16. I think they would have been mortified.

I tend to agree actually, especially at the tender age of 12. If he was a little fellow or a few years older it might be ok .. he probably wouldn't feel odd or unsettled by it.
