i predict a riot! it would be a good idea to give maybe 4 people the job of sorting stuff out (good cop, bad cop, compassion and objectiveness) that might work and they could share the HUGE salary!
i can see what your saying about bono-maybe a publicity stunt-but he's been singing about politics for years cos it's important! structures are great if it's done for the good of all, and selfless! i think we need better representation than we have, but apathy among people just doesn't help the way forward!
who decides what they get paid, and where is the ombudsman in the whole scheme of things? if you have problems with your gas, electricity etc, there is an ombudsman-why not for politicians that fail our expectations??
of course they are overpaid! can you name one politician that has made a huge impact to anything! bob marley, bob geldof and bono have more communication skills than most politicians that i can think of! they are the masters of bull and it's accepted! very weird is society!
there are thousands of great people all over the world, voluntarily helping people, i would like to give my tax to them, rather than pumped up little mediocre politicians that are not the best people to represent ordinary folks! vote voluntary workers to be the next president/prime minister!!!
if politicians really believe in what they are doing to improve this world, wouldn't it be a positive thing to massively reduce their salaries and see who stays??? what do you think the percentage would be! i reckon 3% at a push!!
yes-that's great, but even greater is when a man can look at me and recognise the past, present and future of the way it is! and completely understand-i don't think this is possible in my lifetime, but will be the way forward for communication among people! excuse me, i am innebriated and waffling on, but the truth is being expressed here and now!
someone that was intelligent, without being a train-spotter, great sense of humour and no moodiness! would love my friends as much as i do and can play pool like it's going out of fashion! must love nature and be aware of the fact of how miniscule we are, and most of all be humane!!
thanks mb she's 22 in july-i was 10 when i had her! i was really 19, and married! she lives in edinburgh! been married twice and decided i don't really like wedding cake!! how about yourself, do you have any ankle-biters?
my daughter is coming over and we are going out walking (trying to get fit for summer!) bought a bike recently but still a bit windy and baltic for cycling! pubs in edinburgh are great-am going there on sat night (thinking about trying speed dating-have you tried?) this is the longest i have been single-great in lots of ways, but ready to have another shot! lol
i'm actually from sleepy hollow in fife lol-7 miles across the sea from edinburgh-it's been a long time since i've been up your way! usually go north-west to escape the bustle! i worked with a dentist from golspie, quite recently! did you buy lot's of goodies when in auld reekie?
i am not familiar with it-but good luck in tracing your ancestry! it's very interesting to find out about your roots! a sense of belonging is of high importance in maslow's hierarchy! goodnight for now-i am going to yon scratcher! if i find out anything about your family name i will contact you! take care!
