Curly haired sunshine dancing in the rain
Splashing in the puddles, some say she's insane
Lost in her own world of melody and fun
It might be raining but she's away with the sun

She's entranced by the patterns and symmetry divine
Ever expanding circles of rhythm and rhyme
Vertical stripes of rain lashing down
Won't turn her giggles into a frown

She's high on life not caffeine induced
Living in the moment she's heavenly seduced
Childish absurdities escape from her smile
All of her charisma, it's her essence and style

Was that a shooting star I saw
It's hard for me to understand it all
Meeting you was like that flame up on high
Lifting me higher, high up in the sky.

Standing beneath a pale blue summer moon
Listening to the breeze of a soft silent tune
Chasing my dreams all over the sky
Dashing through fields, through the winds of time.

But for now I am here, all alone and so blue
The silent walls screaming, waiting for you.
My heart will wait for the return of your star
For true love between us is never that far.

I see the pain in your eyes
I see the rain from latter times
I see the love you had for one so bold
But wonder if truth be told
You could ever love again

I hear the loss deep within your words
I hear the remorse of idle days gone by
I hear the sighs of loves lost idyll

I yearn to hold your hand so fair
I yearn to caress your golden hair
I yearn to kiss your porcelain neck

I delight in your laughter
I delight in your smile
I delight in your poise so elegant and fragile

I sense that mercy will have its way
I sense a grace for one to pray
I sense my loves here for you to hold

I love the scent of your skin so rare
I love the fragrance upon your hair
I love the vibes you display
I know I love you in an old fashioned way
I know you can love again

Morbid fascination with a world gone wrong
Brokenness, separation written in a love song
The wisdom of fools is taken for granted
Coin operated love feeds the desire to be wanted

Waking up face down from a night full of dreams
Unable to decipher what any of it means
Dead flowers on the hearthstone, the tome of love
Skeletons in the closet dancing up above

The wheels of life continue to spin around
Following the suns orbit for the lost and the found
Tragedy and heartache a recipe for love
Where mercy and grace abound from above

Tulips and daffodils an angels delight
Crocus and snowdrops spring into the light
The larks sweet call on a hazy day
Will she ever love me I ask you I pray

I've tasted love once before
A love that could have been so rich and so pure
But the love I had faded from view
Now all I dream about my love is you.

I'll slow down if you ask me too
I'll wait for you if that's all I have to do
Please give me a sign that we can be one
You be the moon and I'll be your sun

I'll shine so bright like the only star in the sky
Make you feel so high like you just wanna fly
You'll feel my warmth all over your skin
Please my bumble bee, please let me in.

We can sail this ship to a different shore
Search out new sights there's so much more
For us to share, for us to pursue
A whole new escape for me and for you.
