Garfield

Turning lazy like Garfield am I day by day,

if he ever saw me, OMG would he say,

together we would start a group with all the lazy butts,

chairman would be the one with the loudest burps,

Eating, Sleeping, Eating would be our only motto,

Our flag would have a jumbo lasagne photo,

Let years and years pass by, we won't work,

And who ever does it.. is a huge jerk !

Though this life seems lovely, just eat sleep eat, go on a trip,

But remember, your being so non productive, when your sad and all fat,

Don't you look at the mirror and then get all mad..

Little Roy

Far far away there lived a boy,
He was different, his name was Roy.

He was a wonderful child,he had a soul so pure,
But when it came to studies he was really poor.

Roy lived with his mom and his dad,
But all the time he used to be sad.

Roy had a elder brother, who was good in studies,
He was good in everything he did,he had a lot of buddies.

Roy was alone, he had no friend,
Being all alone, his day used to end.

Nobody liked him except his mother,
Everyone else just compared him with his brother.

He hated everyday going to school,
as everyone there used to call him a fool..

Every test or exam he used to fail,
but nobody bothered to know the poor boys tale..

Roy used to live in his land of dreams
"He didn't like this real world", all the time he used to scream

He was different, every kid with him used to fight,
Roy can't even catch a ball, as he cant judge its flight.

He can't spell right, every word he would fumble,
He can't even read correctly, he would jumble.

But Roy was really very good in one thing,he was great in art,
He used to draw beautiful pictures, from his heart.

But for being bad in studies,to a boarding school he was sent,
He was still a small child, not even a day without his mother he had spent.

He didn't like the new place, all day he used to cry,
He wished he was a bird, so that far away from there he could fly.

Even In the boarding school things were the same
He was very poor in studies, teachers of him were ashamed.

Everyday poor Roy was punished,
Every teachers hope on him had diminished.

Then one day a new teacher arrived,
The one Roy needs, the one who made him strife.

The new teacher taught them art,
He was a great human being, with a wonderful heart.

The teacher saw how Roy was bad in studies,
But his drawings were much better than all other kids.

When he put all the symptoms together he saw one thing,
From dyslexia Roy was suffering.

The teacher knew that something for Roy he had to do
Cause the teacher himself in his childhood was dyslexic too.

He made up his mind to help Roy at any cost,
He had to help him before his childhood was lost.

After class he took Roy to the side.
And practiced and taught him what he must do,
So he can read and write like the other kids do.

Slowly but surly he did improve,
And smiles and better grades were the proof.

Now Roy is a normal child with good grades,
He has friends now, of no one he is afraid.

Why aren't special kids given a second glance,
They deserve an equal life, they deserve an equal chance.

Why are grades given so much importance,
They are just small kids, why have we forgotten.

Being first in class, is not a holy grail,
We must give them love, even when they fail.

We must not force, things on them,
We must realize their own potential.
We must take care of them,
Cause Every Child is Special!!!!

The Ground

Far far away there was a child,
She was a Angel but was born in a place so wild.

She was very young may be seven or eight,
But she didnt knew what was written in her fate.

She loved to eat choclates she loved to play with her friends,
Her love for her parents really had no ends.

She was good in studies she was very smart,
To become a doctor was her dream from the start.

She used to play in open ground right in front of her house,
She used to play hide and seek she used to play cat and mouse.

Oneday her parents left her at home in day light,
They did not come back even when it was late in night.

she got bored at home so she went to the ground,
she was alone that time no one was around.

she just played there without any care,
but she was wrong they say cause someone was there.

He was a human but had devils mind,
he came close to that girl and caught her from behind.

The girl tried to escape she even tried to shout,
But he hold her in his grip and with hands closed her mouth.

What he was doing was totaly against the law,
But he knew he wouldnt be caught as all this no one saw.

He tied the girl and put her in his car,
He left that ground and took her very far.

When the girls parents reached home she couldnt be found,
They searched for her everywhere they searched all around.

The mother cried a lot she allmost died of pain,
As her daughter couldnt be found all the search went in vain.

That man took the girl to a city of gold,
To someone there for a few bucks the girl he sold.

This place is worse than hell as its a red light,
Here that girl was abused day and night.

Everyday animals come and feast her inside a cage,
They dont care how she came here they dont even care her age.

5 years have passed now the girl has grown,
Still waiting for her parents to come and take her home.

Her mother still waits for her girl who couldnt be found,
She still waits for her daughter at the same ground.

How can we as human beings to this to one another,
How can we steal a child from her only mother.

She is old enough now to be in 9th grade,
But what is her crime that she is forced into flesh trade.

Her pain is deeper than any other human wound,
She waits for her next customer,
When she should have been playing at the ground..

The Swan

Far far away there lived a duck,
She was not good looking its was her bad luck.

Everyone would tease her and make fun,
She could do nothing but to cry and run.

She tried to help everyone but nobody with her ever talked,
Nobody was her friend,on seeing her away they walked.

Everyday looking in water her looks she would curse,
She used to ask god why he made her so worse.

Same would happen on each and everyday,
So she decided forever in the nest she'll stay.

All the time in the nest the duck used to cry,
Nobody went to help her nobody even gave a try.

The duck just wished somehow she would die,
But someone was watching over her form the sky.

One night with tears of the duck it was raining,
She saw an angel but she thought she was dreaming.

Dont cry my dear to the duck she told,
Even if you dont look good but you have a heart of gold.

I want to look good to her she replied,
I want friends with whom I can have a glide.

The angel smiled and cast a spell,
Then unconsious to the ground the duck fell.

After sometime she woke up at dawn,
She was different now,now she was a swan.

Sadness from her life went without a trace,
Now she was a beautiful creature, now she was full of grace.

Everyone liked her now, everyone wanted to be her friend,
But she had the same old heart in the end.

Everyone would talk with her and everywhere they would follow,
But she came to know they just liked her looks and they were all shallow.

Becoming a swan happiness in her life it brought,
Are we different from them just give it a thought.

Why does a duck lives a life in tatters,
Why did everyone liked the Swan,
DOES LOOKS REALLY MATTER???
