soulmates

As the moon bawls down it's sonnet,
Dejected melancholy, bitter sweet love.
A wound so fresh, a life insatiable
Shining stars compel me from above
And if its maliciously suggested that soulmates passion is imperishable, then your cessation was premature
And my excrutiating anguish is unbearable..

The Promise

I will love you till the Earth dies
Forever hold you in my heart
Will warm you with the fire in my eyes
And our souls will never part

Choice

He missed the still of their silence
The memories brought with them an aching so raw
She left, along with the guidence
This forbidden fruit from which he craved more

The signs were there but he kept them at bay
Her eyes so real, her body so wanting
He would never have considered she'd walk away
Her lips on his cheek, from caring to taunting

Used abused and tossed to the side
She claimed to be damaged goods from the start
He had laughed with her, wiped her tearsas she cried
Never dreaming of the dismal day they would part

And so he supposed it could be said
That life was so cruel and unfair
He could forever bury his feelings dead
Or reminisce of the true beauty once there.

A New Dawn

??She stands on the edge of the shore, as a new dawn breaks, on the horizon she searches.. For dreams that never came. With eyes unseeing she watches the sky, seagulls flying free and high. She stands on the edge, of madness or reason? The pink hues turn crimson, the gentle breeze gets stronger, another storm? She thinks no longer. The gentle water wraps her in a loving embrace, and the dawn turns to dusk

Eternal Flame

Did you feel me love? That was not the breeze that lifted your hair and caressed your cheek... Did you see me love? The fleeting shadow out of the corner of your eye... Did you hear me love? When our song started playing while you were alone with your thoughts, and I whispered your name in the wind... Did you smell me love? When the scent you bought me fell and filled the room... I promised you my love forever, for eternity, and that is what I give you

Love's Call

The heart and soul remember what the mind can forget..So strum a soft tune on someone's heart strings and one day, like an Ancient Tribal Dance... The owner of that heart will be drawn back to your net

Mystique (Shadows Challenge)

Around here they call her Mystique
She comes across as sorrowful, subdued and weak;
Does anyone ever stop and wonder what kind
Of sinister tragedy destroyed her mind?

The burden that she carries like a megalith upon her scrawny frame
Leaves her wounded and repulsive, odoriferous with no name.
How is it possible to irrigate a soul
That has been ripped from a body, not long ago….whole

The phemigus follaceous that is her skin
Hides what once was a beauty within
The sweet harmonium of death cutting into her like a knife,
A tired body wasted, like a worn unobtrusive tassel hanging on the cloth of life

The festoon she hangs on the grave of her past
Carry her broken dreams that could never last.
In the shadows of darkness, pondering her objective
She once again asks herself would her death be effective

About this poem:
This was definitely a challenge which I enjoyed taking on. A lot of symbolism was used.
The feeling I am trying to portray is of a lost soul with no hope of going on, having suffered a tragic loss wanting to end her life.
Definitely had to consult the dictionary for this.
