Seeking

Im seeking, always seeking
for a place in which to find
safety, love and laughter
with lilting voices kind

Im seeking under gumtrees
sunlight shines the way
on grass, scrub and rock
all hours of the day

Im seeking inside hotels
bathed in candlelight
Through closets, under beds
in mirrors shining bright

Im seeking on the roadway
warm asphalt underfoot
cool air, colder starlight
breathing tastes like soot

Im seeking in the crouds
The push and pull of life
lost in the plethora
of smiles, hugs and strife

Im seeking on the rivers
im swimming with the trout
ripples toss the moons glow
into waters joyful shout

Im seeking in your eyes
with your hand held in mine
In the warmth of your soul
I feel quiet, safe & fine

Im seeking & I found it
my place of peace has come
I loved my search, my travels
But im happier now im home

Alive

Theres rain falling down
outside.
I can hear the world crying
tonight.
Maybe its real.
Maybe its in my mind.
Maybe im lying
im alive.

Are we alive?
Are we dreaming?

I feel the sky screaming
inside.
Anger and thunder driving
the light.
It'll hit.
It'll crash.
They can worry
we will survive.

The Ice cracks, fire screams
the world, its feeling again
and we, oh we, were standing
tall and alive

we all die
we're alive
we are dreaming
we're alive

Wind cools the heat
a calm thats needed.
Hear the quiet
take a breath.
Be steady.
Be ready.

no peace
without fight
no life
without death
no reason
without emotion
no courage
without fear

we are dreaming alive

About this poem:
How do you know your alive?
Do you know when you are dreaming?
Does it matter which is which?
Perhaps its all perception. Perhaps our dreams are just as much reality while we are in them.
And in both cases, it is up to us to live in them.

I believe this world is worth waking up too, and going to sleep for.
I believe this world dreams just as we do.

Barriers

Im safe alone
Confident
Calm
My strength is little tested
When i stand up alone

You are a drop of blood
That lands
On my heart
While you are here
I cannot be alone

Fear, so long ignored
Twists trust
Blocks words
Causes cracks in my strength
I cannot move for fear

In your Words is a truth
Unescapable
Undeniable
That to let go of alone
May hand me more to loose

And how do I regain my
Confidence
Strength
When comes the day
I am once more alone?

Lost in selfish fear
And too weak to trust
It is the fear of ending
That hides behind my heart

About this poem:
This is not at all like my normal styles, but has its own feeling and message that is true and I would like to share. The biggest obsticles to us finding real connections can be ourselves, our own pride and ego, our fear and independance.

I think the best way to demolish a barrier is to know it is there and choose to let it go.

Let the Planet Fly

Stand up with your eyes wide
reach out, out, feel the sky
together
we will hold it all together
we will make this planet fly

when the buildings crumble
when the footsteps sink too low
when the sun is burning everything
is the time for us to grow

turn the twisting winds around
to blow once more into the cold
weave the leaves of all the trees
so all is one inside this fold
the dark moon holds the image
the glaring sun is never tame
dance we will, the futures tune
nothing shall remain the same

let the burning heart explode
show it how to fall and flame
dance we will, the futures tune
nothing shall remain the same

where’s the need to lie and cheat
where’s the need to have it done
where’s the need to be the carpet
for the so called 'better one'
where’s the need to make excuses
where’s the need to finalise
where’s the need to be the same
we will not be analysed

Stand up with your eyes wide
reach out, out, feel the sky
together
we will hold it all together
we will make this planet fly

About this poem:
My hope for the future, that when we reach the crunch point, we as humanity will make the choice to grow in soul and wisdom, instead of mind and comfort. A hope that we will learn to grow with the planet, be one with life, rather then try to fit shifting insubstantial social status's.

Hearts Tear

She cry's
But even she cannot hear
The sound of her weeping
Nor feel even one tear
Her sholders, unbowed
Her face is not flushed
Her eyes remain clear
Her moves,unrushed
No Grimce twists
Her smiling lips
Nor is there a tremble
in her fingertips
Her breathing is steady
not sudden, nor loud
Truly no proof
of her crying be found

And yet

yet

Still she is crying
A soul wrenching
brutal
tear
That drips from her heart.

growing up

I want to be pissed off
I want to lash out
I want to let self pity
explode in a shout

I want to be reckless
and do stupid things
I know its destructive,
regrets all it brings

But damn its annoying
to hold it all down,
wait till it disipitates
and smooth out the frown

Why cant i be foolish,
have a moody outburst,
be selfish and angry,
put my temper first?

Becuase letting it out
well, then it hits others
and its not just me
that my temper bothers

Then it can cause hurt,
cause conflict and pain
negative for all
without any gain
So

I CAN get pissed off
I CAN let it out
I CAN let self pity
Explode in a Shout

But the payment is there
when it hits or it misses
and to be bluntly honest
Id much rather have kisses

Through the Window

im looking through a window
made of silk and coloured stone
my memory is hazy
am i actually alone?

i cannot turn my head
my gaze is fixed outside
lost in strange wonders
of a plastic countryside

i can hear a bluebird trilling
its sweet vicous brutal song
theres a spider spining wispers
telling me i must be strong

theres a house thats made of faces
and another made of hands
a path that leads between them
shifting multicoloured sands

theres a dragon on a hillside
and a maple tree in bloom
and their both standing steady
somehow honest in the gloom

with shadows playing freely
on the ground and in the air
and even in their darkness
they sing a symphony so fair

its all distraction really
all this dreaming memory
it may hold my attention
with its broken old story

yet soon the window closes
the silk it rips and falls
the stone it shifts and melts
and its empty in these halls
