SURRENDER

It was involuntary motions,
Uncontrolled reactions,
Extreme commotion,
Nothing but passion.

Clawing for each new breath,
Unable to maintain,
There was no sense of focus left,
They’d surely gone insane.

Self-control no longer existed,
Between this woman and this man.
For their bodies now were twisted,
And united they will stand.

THE TAUNTING

And night after night; that tauntress, she comes
Creeps into your head, and she pulses and moans

She treks ‘cross your skin, you can feel her trail
While she touches you gently, every mound; every vale

You lose all control, and try as you might
To keep it inside, but you can’t win this fight

Exploring each crevasse, with speed like a snail
She drinks from your river; she makes your chest rale

She remains until dawn, and then crawls from your bed
While you toss and you turn, and you realize she fled

Now alone and cold, you must think of her heat
To give you the energy to rise to your feet

Then day after day, you work on a plan
To tame this sweet vixen, but conclude that you can’t

So night after night; that tauntress returned
And you welcomed her back, for you lived and you learned

REMAINS

No longer can you see her
In her physical shell
But she remains.
When the wind musses your hair
It is her fingers you feel.
When the sun rises
It is her glow that reflects off the water.
When it rains
It is her love falling onto you.
She is in the air that you breathe,
The water you taste,
And the emotions you feel.
She remains.
Memories from the past
New experiences in the future
She remains with you in her natural state.
She remains.

BLINK

In an instantaneous moment,
Nothing recognizable exists.

The before and after,
Separate.

No glimpse of connection,
Everything bright, the past forgotten.

Anything is possible with you.

EMBELLISHED

She proudly laced his soul around her neck
As if it was a silken scarf.
Carefully placing each edge in its proper,
It tickled her skin in the wind,
And she cried.
Hanging helplessly from his noose
She became limp,
And he took her once again.

INVISIBLE

Incomplete
Scattered at best
She always looked to be coming apart at the seams
Easily confused
An advantage for those in her company
She muddled through
Floating from day to day
Without direction
While her fabric frayed
Her true being escaped through the holes left in her skin
Unrecognizable to most
She felt invisible

UNWANTED CONSTRUCTION

I answered the door and found that melody of the past
It disguised itself well this time
Didn’t seem familiar through the peephole
And was wearing a different shade of skin

It spoke to me in many tongues before
Sometimes using a thick accent
Or emitting a new scent
Hiding behind this mask or that

And each time I was fooled
Not paying close attention to its tempo
But eventually recognizing it
As my walls continue to grow
