FAITH

The intense pain
is familiar
The tears are friends
A soul gets used
to a routine.
It doesn't get disturbed
by a sudden IM,
a call, or harsh words.
Fires rage within a soul
torn apart by broken faith.
A hurricane blows
through a soul,
threatening to destroy
the remaining strength...

Feelings through words

So go the tales....

Checked shirts,
Computers big and small,
Clean hands, so appealing
A grim face, laden with a
beard,
A voice that could never be forgotten,
Could I miss out thinking of you?

FROM ME....

As old as I am, I feel I am sixteen,
Feeling the pain of a teenager
who has lost her first love.
Your presence I feel everywhere,
Your words, instructing me,
in dealing with this piece of technology,
ring in my ears, when I log on,
The hurt comes just like storms do.
My life stretches like a river,
winding this way, and that, yet knowing no solace.
Where do I end, When will it be,
When will I fall into the depths of that ocean
The feeling will be blissful,
No more pain, no more yearning....
Gentle breezes of a beautiful night
touch my face.. I smell the air
wondering if I would feel your warmth in it.

GROWING UP

There was once a child,
With a heart so mild.
She was carefree, happy and gay
All day long she would play.

"come help with the dishes"
mother would say,
"Clean up your room,"
Mother would give a broom.

The child grew up,young and pretty.
She would see mother toiling at home.
To help her, she wouldn't think,
To read a story, she would aim.

The child got married, a mother she became,
"Come help with the work,"
She would call out,
To the children now big and stout.

She'd get wild, they would not hear
She'd shout, they did not fear
Then she sat, on a stool,
Her memories as warm as wool.

She remembered the times
Her mother's voice chimed
How she must have needed,
The help, the child avoided

"Oh mama, now I know," she whispered,
It is so late now she knows,
she walked back to her tasks,
She knew she must toil

In this rat race, little do we know
we must endure similar encounters
of people whose pleas, we have not
heeded, we have ignored.

Needing you

Seconds, minutes, hours and days will pass
months and years will expand
I feel the emptiness within
The yearning to be loved, held and comforted
is all but a dream each day.

I take a stroll in the wilderness
Look at the winged creatures on trees
Stare at the rays of the sun
streaming through the trees
and yearn to hold your hand

Mornings dawn, My body cold and aging
Nights come and go, my heart a heavy stone
Tears stream down endlessly
I whisper your name silently
I see your face above me, I am hallucinating

I know I must break the bonds, the attachment
I know I must take a step ahead
I know I must give in to my well being too,
I have toiled for others on silent terms
Missing out on the wonders I must embrace.

About this poem:
I typed the thoughts that came to my mind holding back the tears. I am missing him as usual. My heart is heavy with pain, I have no appetite to eat. Just the urge to pour out the emotions that threaten to burst out remain.
Here I am, connected to CS, a silent thank you for the site and its people for being there for weaklings like me. Love you all.
