Ode to Connecting Singles...............

Welcome to C.S. on line
A place to chill with a glass of wine

Time to choose a user name,
Boy oh boy there's lots the same.

Now for the password what to choose
Whatever I pick there's nothing to lose.

Choose a photo, which will it be,
I guess it's best to look like me

At last I'm in and ready to play
Who shall I contact first today:

People here from everywhere,
Hurry up no time to stare

I'll send a flower he looks nice
Hope he doesn't want advice!

Got a reply oh how sweet.
I'm not so keen now ,press delete

Goodness me ,my mailbox is red!
Hope it's from that guy called Fred

In the forums to shed some light,
Goodness me not another fight

Don't agree with everyone
What the hell,it's all good fun.

So lighten up, enjoy ,it's fine
Meeting up on the C.S. line

About this poem:
Just for a bit of fun, I wrote this some time ago and posted it in the C.S. Forums,so thought I would revive it and put it in the poetry section. Cheeky or what.

Childhood Memories

Sitting on the gate with Meg,Sue and Jane
Waiting for the boys
Where are those lads in scruffy clothes
Still playing with their toys?

Here comes Jimmy swaggering
Catapult in hand
He's wondering what Bill and George
Have deviously planned.

Jumping down we greet our pal
As other boys join in
Hopping with excitement now
Making such a din.

Down the lane we tumble
What mischief shall we plan
Scrumping in the orchard
On Farmer Giles's land.

A butterfly with outstretched wings
Warms up in the morning sun
Wonder where he goes at night
When the day is done.

Let's make a camp in yonder wood
Play hide and seek or track
I'd love to be alone in there
With Jimmy's brother Jack!

How time has flown since first we met
Down by the garden gate
My own young ones now take my place
As down the path they wait.

Marriage[ Andrew's 50 word poem]

WHERE DOES HE GO THAT MAN OF MINE
WHO SEEKS THE WILDER LIFE
I WORRY THAT HE WILL NOT DINE
WITH HIS LONG SUFFERING WIFE

I CARE NOT THAT I DINE ALONE
THE PEACE I KNOW IS REAL
SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF I MOAN
IT'S JUST THE USUAL SPIEL.
