the strange thing is..after all you've done, we still miss you..
though I don't understand why..with all your cheating, and your lies..
someone I believed I knew, someone I believed loved us
stranger..
your mask has fallen away, allowing me to see into the depths of your empty heart and soul
smiles, lying eyes, feigning sincerity, too good to be true
and suddenly you're gone..with no explanation, no apology, no regret
stranger..
your voice is now cold..unfriendly..distant..uncaring..
i finally 'SEE' what you were all along
stranger..
or..psychopath, con~artist, thief, cheater, alcoholic, abused child, immature, user, liar,
when will my heart understand what my mind finally has?

About this poem:
This poem is about my fiancee leaving us for another woman. We were together for seven years, and although he had cheated on me during the first year we were together, I trusted him when he said.."I will never hurt you again." He suddenly walked out on us two years ago this month(in Dec. 2008). And I still have no idea why:(

some are born without a soul
without a heart
but they watch and learn
how to mimic us
they 'feel' you out
your weaknesses attract them
like a delible mark on
your forehead
you look into their
mesmerizing eyes
so full of emotion..
see the tears?
their suave, practiced entrance
flowers to impress
phantom prince..
you've got it down good
the right words..the feigned sweetness..
right to the compassion and loving
it was good for you for awhile
rather you pretended it was good..
so many lies, so much cheating,
narcisstic creature you surely are
no remorse, not a care,
you threw us away like so much garbage
walking away without a glance
breaking hearts, destroying lives,
taking everything with you..
leaving us so alone, so broken..
i've tried so hard to climb out of
this dark pit of despair
angry at myself for being so bloody gullible!
they say move on..
move on to where? to what?
when you left it feels like we ceased to exist
there's noone now phantom prince..
just me and the girls and memories
better forgotten
