Just looked at schedule..boss has me on them days..crap..well sometime or another ...i had to work on the St Louis one..now i have to work on this oe....

The_Kansan: Yeah, but it's just in downtown Knoxville - They're about 4 months into a 14 month project to widen I-40 through downtown. It won't affect our get-together.
So I can assume the construction will be after the 275 bypass, because if I am not mistaken 40 and 75 come together on the SSW side of Knoxville?

Ok, let's see... The construction is on I-40 in the downtown area, between I-275 and and I-40 @ I-640east. So you'll take I-75 to I-40 East (75 & 40 do run together for a bit), then take the I-640 bypass East to I-75 North, then about 20 miles later you'll be at the exit for Norris Dam State Park (exit 128). (And no one - North, East, South or West - will have to worry about the construction project at all.)
I'll make a point of e-mailing specific directions to everyone with the possible exception of Darlynda (because she probably knows more about Norris Dam State Park than I do!
) before the event. Might even try to tackle it tonight, but it'll probably be next weekend.I'll also make sure that everyone (Darlynda included

You're quite welcome! You do know where the 'East' state park is, right? (Just on the East side of the dam and up the hill - 1st available right and we'll be at shelter #1.)

Unless somebody wants diet soda or something special, you don't really need to bring anything but yourselves - We're making arrangements to feed everyone (menu to be finalized later) and just hoping to re-coup our initial expenses.
That way nobody has to worry about toting a bunch of foodstuffs, etc... across a couple of states. -- Just makes things simpler that way.
