Just for what it's worth, I suppose that I should mention that there are also campgrounds (if a person likes to/wants to camp) as well as several motels nearby. There are also cabins for rent, but I don't think we've gotten started in time to reserve one. Also, I'm not sure about the price list on the cabins. Perhaps - if the interest is high enough to try doing this again next year - we can check on the possibility of renting a cabin for the entire weekend... (Just a thought.)

I'm not sure. And outside of going down the list and calling each one, I really wouldn't know how to find out.
I do know that the closest town is Lake City, (It's the Lake City exit that you'll take to get to the park.) so maybe you could find some info that way?
