Well, for a man who considers himself an audiophile, im ashamed to admit i have never heard music by this band untill today...
thanks Jan for giving me another musical avenue to explore...
if this is your thing, look up "celtus" and "october project"...
im very familer with the former, but discovered the latter from a post on this site...kind of Moya Brennan (clannad) style delivery...
again, your doing us proud...all the best...Lau...hug

Hi LZ wave

Thanks for that. I will take a look at those bands. If you look at the Video Tags, and look up "Runrig", you'll see that I put a few others on a while ago. I don't listen to them much nowadays, but their music will always be in my collection. Their songs are always very moving to me, as many of them are written about the Atlantic coast of Scotland, and the Scottish islands smitten

Glad you enjoyed it hug

Beautiful! applause I fell in love with this band while traversing Scotland in 2004. My favorite song by them of all time is "Loch Lomond". :-)

There's also a great Celtic rock band here called The Killdares.

You can check them out here: killdares.com :-)

Hi wave
Thanks for that, and for the link. I will look them up.

I have lived, worked and travelled all over the Scottish west coast and the islands, and Runrig always bring the memories of these places flooding back. Sometimes I get a little homesick for those wonderful places roll eyes Am definitely going to dig out my Runrig albums now!! yay yay yay

You are so welcome! handshake

I hope you enjoy The Killdares. I got hooked on them last year while attending some summer festivals. They'll be filming a dvd on July 29th and I have front row seats! yay

I'm writing this from my local Starbuck's as my internet provider has been undergoing a three week process of changing out towers from a previous company and my internet service at home is spotty at best.

Your travels and work sound so wonderful. I'm looking forward to exploring Scotland some more next year. :-)

I'll be putting in some Runrig in the car stereo on the way home!yay

How come I haven't heard of this song/band? The best part of being part of CS seems to be exploring the unheard music. Thanks a ton!
