Trump Calls Out The Pope...

Donald Trump and his Trumpeters have a new target: The Pope. Hordes of angry Trump supporters took to Twitter Thursday after the Pope claimed Trump is “not Christian” for promising to build a wall across the Mexican border.

“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian,” the Pope told journalists as he traveled back to Rome from his six day visit to Mexico on Thursday.

Never one to miss the opportunity for a fight, Trump lashed right back. “For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful … No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith,” Trump said at a campaign event in South Carolina. He went on to claim Pope Francis is a pawn of the Mexican government. “They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves,” he said.

In a glorious turn, Trump also predicted he might one day save the Pope from ISIS. “If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS’s ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened.”

On social media, outrage flowed both ways, but perhaps not surprisingly, most of it was directed at the Pope. Vocativ’s technology uncovered 1,040 uses of the words “hypocrite” or “hypocrisy” in tweets also mentioning the Pope or his handle @Pontifex during a single 45 minute period on Twitter on Thursday afternoon. We also discovered 141 mentions of the word “p*dophile.” Most were not referring to Pope Francis himself, but blaming him for not doing more to end the Catholic church’s long history of covering up child abuse inflicted by its own members.

Journalists Detained in Bahrain

Rather interesting news... could this be the start of something colorful?...

Four U.S. journalists detained in Bahrain: journalists group
DUBAI/WASHINGTON

A U.S. journalist and three members of her camera crew were detained in Bahrain on Sunday, Reporters Without Borders said on Monday, urging Bahrain to release the four American citizens "rapidly and without harm."

In a statement, the group described Anna Day and her three colleagues as experienced journalists, who had most recently worked on virtual reality documentaries in Egypt and Gaza.

Earlier, Bahraini police said they had detained four foreign nationals on Sunday. Bahrain's interior ministry said in a statement the four were "suspected of offences including entering Bahrain illegally having submitted false information to border staff, and participating in an unlawful gathering."

The U.S. State Department said it was aware of reports that U.S. citizens had been arrested but declined further comment, citing privacy considerations.

A spokesperson for Day's family rejected any suggestion that the four were involved in any illegal behavior or non-journalistic activities.

The Arabic-language Mira'at al-Bahrain (Bahrain Mirror) said the four were detained in Sitra, a Shi'ite village east of Manama, on Sunday while covering clashes between local demonstrators and security forces.

The demonstration was meant to mark the fifth anniversary of widespread Arab Spring protests in 2011 mainly by Shi'ite Muslims demanding reforms and bigger share in government.

Those protests were put down violently by Bahrain security units with help from security forces from Gulf Arab states including Saudi Arabia. But the kingdom, where the U.S. Fifth Fleet is based, continues to see bouts of unrest, especially in villages where Shi'ites are a majority.

Day has reported in the Middle East, northern Africa, India, Brazil and Mexico and her work has been published in the New York Times, CNN, Al Jazeera English, Huffington Post, CBS, Daily Beast and other media.

Single Valentine :blushing:

it started with rock and roll live band, 1 black guine can and 1 Jagermeister shot, then i wanted to kiss and make love lol blushing
that's how i both hate and like Jagermeister. My friends went to another bar for dancing and I after struggling with myself decided to go home hug my pillows and teddy bears. Poor me it was a toss and turn night so nearly 2/3 of the morning has gone in bed doing nothing but finding videos teaching how to how to ... very few good ones I found and still it remains a mystery.

luckiy the afternoon was quite exciting with rock and roll dancing, piano practice, rose caring, some chores to clean and arrange the house to start the new year and visiting a friend. this evening 2 single ladies are going to celebrate the day with some good wine and talks over ladies' stuffs.

Single Valentine seems not really suck as i imagined heart1 2 ex-bfs made phone calls to give valentine wish sigh no flowers, no dating this year but i feel more love for myself cos now that I found some ways to enjoy myself and not to pick up the phone or accept to meet a man to run away from loneliness.

tomorrow back to work again after a long haul. Not really excited as my boss is retiring but anyway life moves on. seem good things don't often last long.

for now, I will love myself for you lol. Happy Valentine's day heart wings
