Lose that Belly

You don't need to kill yourself to get a washboard stomach. Just tweak your exercise routine and diet a bit to help lose the excess tummy flab.

1. Say No To Carbs.
White rice, bread, chips and anything salty...these are the foundations of the excess bulge you see on your belly. When you start weeding these out of your diet, you'll stop feeling and looking boated around your waist.

2.Do Some Cardio
You'll need to burn off the fat covering your belly before you can see your abs.Spending at least 20 mins. on the threadmill or jogging around your village is one of the most effective ways to get rid of that extra jiggle in your tummy.

3.Pass On The Fizz
Carbonated drinks like soda or beer cause your stomach to expand and keep you feeling lethargic. To help you get trim ASAP,switch to warm water or tea to help flush out toxins and boast your energy so you'll feel like exercising more.

4.Crunch It Up
To help build the muscles of your stomach ,try doing two to three sets of sit-ups in the morning and before bed to help you firm up.

5.Don't Go Hungry
Just because you're watching what you eat doesn't mean you should starve.Eat small meals every two to three hrs. full of protein and high fiber foods like veggies.

A Shooting Incident On Cape Town Station

Yesterday, about lunch time, a man shot himself on Cape Town Railway Station when apprehended after he fired several shots in all directions.help

Miraculously, it appears that nobody else had been hurt. The police are tight-lipped about the incident and there seems to be a clampdown on news. What little news is filtering through is vague and conflicting. The number of people involved is not clear. Some accounts say one man other say two and even more.dunno

It seems that (at least) one armed man, dressed in black traditional Muslim attire, as normally worn by women (only the eyes showing), entered the station and several shots were fired. People were running in all directions to escape his attentions.sigh

The police won’t speculate on the motive and we don’t know anything about the deceased yet. I only wonder why he was dressed up like a Muslim woman and how he managed to miss everybody else. The station is fairly busy about that time of the day.confused

What is happening to this place?doh
cats meow cats meow

Have a great day.wave

"brutal" attack.......

Embedded image from another site
..... ... ...Kasturi Munirathinam's arm was allegedly chopped off by her employer
India's foreign ministry has complained to the Saudi Arabian authorities following an alleged "brutal" attack on a 58-year-old Indian woman in Riyadh.
Kasturi Munirathinam's right arm was chopped off, allegedly by her employer, when she tried to escape from their house last week, reports say.
Ms Munirathinam was working as a domestic help. She is recovering in hospital.
Her family has alleged that she was being tortured by her Saudi employers.
Saudi authorities have not commented on the incident yet.
'Disturbed'
Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj wrote on Twitter: "This is unacceptable. We have taken this up with Saudi authorities. Our embassy is in touch with the victim."
"Chopping of hand of Indian lady - We are very much disturbed over the brutal manner in which Indian lady has been treated in Saudi Arabia," Ms Swaraj added.
The family of Ms Munirathinam in the southern Indian city of Chennai said that her employers had been "angered" after she complained about the "harassment" she was facing at her employer's home, where she had begun working three months ago.
They are asking the government to secure them compensation from the family, and also help pay Ms Munirathinam's medical expenses.
Serious condition
"Ever since she went to work with this family in July, things were not alright. My mother was not even allowed to speak to us over the phone, she was not given proper food and was forced to work long hours," her son S Kumar told BBC Hindi.
"When she tried to escape the harassment and torture, her right arm was chopped off by the woman employer. Now my sister can't even sit and do simple things on her own, as her spinal cord has also been injured," her sister S Vijayakumari added.
Ms Vijayakumari said her sister had been hospitalised in Riyadh and was "in a serious condition", adding that although they were relieved she was getting proper medical attention, they were unable to afford the expenses.
They have asked the Tamil Nadu state government to help them financially and have also sought the Indian government's help in securing Ms Munirathinam's return to India.blues

Thoughts on the Oregon shooting

Here is what I see. We have had two school shootings by individuals who suffered from Autism, Sandy Hook and now the Oregon College. Both shooters lived with their Moms. One mother was a school guidance counselor the other one is a nurse. Both mothers, in spite of knowing their children had other mental problems beyond simple autism kept firearms and ammunition in a location accessible to their child. There is nothing to be done about the Sandy Hook case because in that instance the boy was nice enough to murder his mother first before taking some guns and going to the school to shoot kids.

However, in the case of Oregon, the mother is a nurse. She also has written many blogs going back a decade about her son having mental health issues and (on other websites) also that she and her son often go to the gun range and shoot together and how she has shopped for guns with her son and they live together and the house is full of readily accessible loaded weapons.

Then yesterday it came out that two years ago she told a co-worker that several times (i.e., at least twice) because her son sometimes refuses to take his prescribed medications and he grows much worse she has had to 'involuntarily commit him' to a mental health institution to get him stabilized.

Now at least 9 have been shot dead and another 9 wounded.

I see two already existent applicable Federal laws.

18 USC 371 Conspiracy = If two or more persons conspire either to commit any offense against the United States, or to defraud the United States, or any agency thereof in any manner or for any purpose, and one or more of such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

18 USC 922 (g) (4) - (g) It shall be unlawful for any person—
(4) who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or who has been committed to a mental institution;
to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.

Penalty - (2) Whoever knowingly violates subsection (a)(6), (d), (g), (h), (i), (j), or (o) of section 922 shall be fined as provided in this title, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.

So to my thinking, the mother, by her own admissions, written blogs, and verbal statements to coworkers about knowing of the prior involuntary committing for mental health reasons of her son, should be charged as a willing co-conspirator in the violation of the Federal gun laws, in that she allowed her son to possess both constructively (by being in the home around her admittedly loaded and readily accessible) firearms, and actual possession every time she allowed him to handle hers at the firing range.

That the mental health facility mentioned by the Mom failed to provide law enforcement databases with knowledge of the prior involuntary commitment for mental health reasons, where such failure permitted the man to walk into a gun store and buy weaponry, I consider to be a separate issue. One which is quite possibly (since the Federal Health Privacy laws were amended to permit such notification after the Virginia Tech School shootings) a good basis for a wrongful death law suit against said mental health facility.
