Fragrance Language: How perfumes express us?

No doubt, perfumes attract us with pleasure they creates. If we have to answer “why do we love perfume,” of course, first of all it is because perfume, like all beautiful things, makes us feel happy. I found a wonderful description of a woman on how the perfume impacts her senses and feelings: „What I love most about perfume is that it can move me, in a very personal, intimate way. Sometimes a perfume can really speak to me and I can connect to it, it can touch me in my heart and in my soul, it can evoke memories and emotions, and it can kiss awake sides of my personality that were asleep for too long. It fascinates me and I think it is maybe an aspect you can find in all forms of art.” Not by chance that French symbolism manifested itself through sent and even introduces the phrase “perfume of soul”. Let’s just remember Correspondences of Charles Baudelaire:” Possessing the diffusion of infinite things,/Like amber, musk, incense and aromatic resin,/Chanting the ecstasies of spirit and senses.” (In translation of Geoffrey Wagner, Selected Poems of Charles Baudelaire (NY: Grove Press, 1974).

In the same time pleasant and enjoyable fragrances spur our imagination and open our minds and fantasy. Every perfume like every person has its own character and in the same time we choose it according to our perceptions and our character. And often other people we are in a relationship with associate or remember us with specific fragrance or perfume we used. Fragrances last even more in memory. They save the presence of someone from oblivion. Perfumes may create a tangible link between peoples even though many of us are separated by long distances, especially when we date on-line, for instance. Christian Dior once said, “A woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting.” So I think when we get knowing better it is good to know the fragrance liked by the Other as everyone more or less express own personality with a personal fragrance. Once I thought that using the same perfume for a long time is a kind of my own “landmark”, but know I found it more exiting to have different perfumes for different moods and tune them according to the moment. Lately I found that Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme creates positive impact on me. So, it is two-way street.
Lately I mostly use Alien of Thierry Mugler and skin lotion that makes me happy.
Yet I odor the smell of freshly cut grass, sea breeze, white and freezing snow smell in a sunny day, freesia in my vase, a little bit sad scent of autumn leaves…
Now, it is your turn to share why do you love perfume? What kind of? How it express you?
If you like quizzes we may want to visit this one:
It showed me totally different perfumes that I do not use. But why not try? May be new frontiers of senses would open to me…

Does it really matter?...

Many are saying, this was indeed a hate crime, while others are saying, this was a crime of anger and about a parking space. Many say, he would rant and rage and bully neighbors in the community, and on his face book page about many things... But does this really matter? Hate is hate and murder is murder, whether its over a parking space, racism, or whatever. Murdering anyone is a crime of hate!

Does killing three innocent young college students who just happen to be Muslims justify their death? No! and no matter what stirred this mad man up, he deserves the max... and that's the death penalty... May God Himself vindicate their senseless deaths.

Craig Hicks Was Threat With 'Equal Opportunity Anger,' Neighbors Say

Craig Stephen Hicks, 46,
enters the courtroom for his first appearance Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at the Durham County Detention Center in Durham, N.C. He is accused of shooting his Finley Forest neighbors, Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, and his wife Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, and Abu-Salhav's sister, Razan Abu-Salha, 19, of Raleigh. The suspected killer of three Muslim family members in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, was a known bully in his community, neighbors say.

Craig Hicks, 46, was always irritated about noise and parking in the condominium complex where he allegedly shot and killed Deah Shaddy Barakat, Barakat's wife, Yusor Abu-Salha, and her sister, Razan Abu-Salha on Tuesday. Neighbors say they felt uncomfortable around him, especially when he regularly approached with a gun holstered to his belt, according to the New York Times.

"I have seen and heard him be very unfriendly to a lot of people in this community," Samantha Maness, another resident of the Finley Forest development, told the Times. She said that Hicks displayed an "equal opportunity anger" and that he made "everyone feel uncomfortable and unsafe."

He was emphatic about enforcing the complex's parking regulations and griped when he thought Maness made too much noise with friends.

Imad Ahmad, Barakat's former roommate, said the victims had faced Hicks' anger before.

"He would come over to the door, knock on the door and then have a gun on his hip saying, 'You guys need to not park here,'" Ahmad told the Associated Press. "He did it again after [Yusor and Deah] got married."

Neighbors' accounts of Hicks' behavior before the shooting come at a time of increased tension over the murder investigation. Chapel Hill police have said that they haven't ruled out the idea that the shooting was "hate-motivated," but so far they've suggested an ongoing parking dispute fueled Hicks' wrath.

Some Muslims in Chapel Hill as well as the victims' family and friends aren't buying the motive. Dr. Mohammad Abu-Salha, the slain sisters' father, called for a federal probe into what he says "has hate crime written all over it."

The FBI is launching a "preliminary inquiry," but haven't yet committed to a full investigation, according to NBC News. The Chapel Hill police are also investigating.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Hicks' wife Karen said that her husband was an angry man, but not prejudiced.

"This incident had nothing to do with religion or victims’ faith, but instead had to do with the longstanding parking disputes that my husband had with the neighbors," she said. "He often champions on his Facebook page for the rights of many individuals. Same sex marriages, abortion, race, he just believes that everyone is equal. Doesn’t matter what you look like or who you are or what you believe."

She has said she's filing for divorce from Hicks.

Hicks is charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

Malaysia's Opposition Leader Gets 5 Years In Jail.

There are many who complain and disagree with many of the laws here in America. And many of these complaints and disagreements are from Americans who are born and raised in this country... and some are from those who do not live, nor have ever lived in America. But there is one thing for sure, Americans should consider their freedoms in all things, as we also must obey the laws of our law.

We, as Americans should be oh, so very thankful that our country is not under such strict laws as other nations around the world thus, many Americans would stop their complaining and learn contentment with our laws and freedom as it stands.

Had this happened under a law in America such as this law in Malaysia, I would suspect our former PRESIDENT would have been, as would so many Americans, been sentenced to life in prison... or even so, maybe beheaded...

Anwar Ibrahim's Sodomy Conviction Upheld; Court Sentences Opposition Leader To 5 Years In Prison

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Reuters) -
Malaysia's highest court rejected on Tuesday an appeal by opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim against a sodomy conviction, sending the politician who poses the greatest threat to the long-ruling coalition back to prison for five years.

The U.N. Human Rights office and Australia said they were disappointed by the ruling. Human Rights Watch condemned it as persecution and Amnesty International said it would have a chilling effect on freedom of expression.

Anwar, the ruling party's rising star in the mid-1990s before he fell out with then Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, denied the charge that led to his second conviction for sodomy as a fabrication aimed at ending his political career.

"I will walk again for the third time into prison but rest assured that I will walk in with my head held high," a defiant Anwar said in a statement he read out in court.

"I maintain my innocence."

Prime Minister Najib Razak's government has rejected any suggestion of interference in the case.

"Malaysia has an independent judiciary, and there have been many rulings against senior government figures," the government said in a statement after the ruling.

The United States said it was "deeply disappointed" with the conviction. "The decision to prosecute Mr. Anwar and the conduct of his trial have raised a number of serious concerns about rule of law and the fairness of the judicial system in Malaysia," National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said.

Anwar criticized the court saying that in rejecting his appeal it was "bowing to the dictates of the political masters."

"You chose to remain on the dark side and drown your morals and your scruples in a sea of falsehood and subterfuge," he told the judges who walked out of the court as he spoke.

"I will not surrender," he said.

Anwar later comforted his wife and children and had a meal with them before being taken to the Sungai Buloh prison, about 30 km (20 miles) from Kuala Lumpur.

A court found the 67-year old former deputy prime minister guilty in March last year of sodomizing a former political aide.

The conviction disqualifies him from political office and contesting the next election that must be held by 2018.

King Abdullah II

I just can't fathom the pain of the man and of his family and of the people who saw the video of Muath being burned alive. Iam very much overwhelmed by the reaction of King Abdullah II being a military man himself. May the kind of Islam he is repsenting tribe more. And may real peace come to the Middle East and may that peace engulf the whole world. After all we are all brothers and sisters and we've got only one earth.bouquet bouquet bouquet
