I don’t have much patience with people who panic, because panic is just uncontrolled fear; and fear can be controlled… once you understand it.

I can remember when we first saw action in Caprivi. We were young, not prepared to die and shit-scared. We thought we were cowards. Our platoon sergeant should have been a psychologist. He stated that dying for your country is bullshit; you have to make the enemy die for their country. That had the lot of us laughing and he instantly won our confidence.

He said that it’s normal to have fear and told us that he’s scared too but knowing and admitting to it, enables him to deal with it. He said that once we’ve “seen the elephant”, the cause for fear will become routine and we’d be able to deal with it. “But never deny that fear,” he added, “for that will get you killed very fast.”

And he was right. The first time under enemy fire it was terrifying but we got used to it eventually and it became routine. But it does not become routine by itself. You need plenty of exposure to it. And once you have conquered one fear, it becomes easier to conquer another.

I’m inclined to believe that any fear can me mastered with enough exposure to it.

The beauty of it all is that once you have learned how to handle your own fears, you recognize and respect – even admire – that ability in other people. Nothing can fascinate me more than seeing people performing well under hazardous conditions.

I dedicate this blog to all those people who work under dangerous conditions.

Hey! Why does this sound so much like Australia?

Maybe our in-house historian will be so kind to complete the history for us.
Or maybe he only knows the Australian history.

Last Tuesday was another day for me to get my unemployment card stamped. Just like last month, the counter staff, after handing me back my card told me to go to the 2nd floor meaning I have to browse and look for a job among the listings. The lady did her job so well that at the end of more than an hour of going thru all the listings she was able to finalize an interview for Friday. Yesterday I went to the company and met 2 other female Japanese applicants. Guess what? I'm taken in although for the first month I'll be in the day shift before transferring to the night shift. The place is quite near my apt. I believe I can handle the job well since we were toured in the factory after the interview. But just sad that the timing wasn't right. I'm booked for Manila this week and has a return flight on Sept 2. At first I was asked when can I start working with them. I told them September but when the other 2 ladies answer they're willing to start on Aug 19, (Today until Aug 18 is Japan's obon holiday)I was pressured to say so, too. Really happy for I won't have to milch the Jgovt and sad for not being able to make my travel plan. I could have made my travel earlier!

This didn't happen overnight.

But, I am definitely in love, and some of the neighbors aren't happy about it.

I've been partaking for the past two weeks;
big, black, luscious, sweet, and juicy !
I've gotten some every evening, when I got back home.

Yep, it's blackberry season in my backyard.
Some of the birds aren't all that happy, about me picking a bunch to eat each evening.
I thought angry birds, was just a video game.

I suppose I don't blame them.
The birds are the ones who originally 'planted' them
and they have spread every year.

Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) said Saturday President Trump bore some responsibility for a shooting in El Paso, Texas that killed at least 20 people.
Asked by news reporters whether the president was in some part responsible for the shooting, O'Rourke, who formerly served as the city's mayor, responded firmly.
"Yes. We've had a rise in hate crimes every single one of the last three years," O'Rourke said Saturday evening. "During an administration where you've had the president call Mexicans rapists and criminals."

If Democrats would start raising their children with a little more discipline and God fearing punishment, there would be a lot less tragedies like this and there would be no need to lie to the American public and blame the President for a problem created by their own lack of parenting skills.

CS has many good subjects in itself, which brings People together around the World. It gives US experience and we know the attitude of different people and also know about their Culture.
Many here are tide in good relations and even got married.
I appreciate the Site and The CS team who provide us good features and maintain all The Site Very Well.
One thing I noticed here that we have the option to block or report a person on the Site.
So here I can't understand why we Block some Counties by ourself not communicate with those Country People.
I think it must be open for all if one can annoyed by a mail or flower he or she can easily block him.
While blocking the person he or she will come to know about his fault and he or she will be able to Correct Himself.

What is your opinion.

We walked around asking people questions about the city from an inside point of view. Learned how to revive a dying drug addict first hand and learned some thing about the City from its everyday people. Drugs, Murder and Money has this city in a headlock but if you can look past those issues Baltimore, Md is a Beautiful City.
