Yes, I'm in love !
This didn't happen overnight. It took a while to develop.
I haven't talked about it on here.
But, I am definitely in love, and some of the neighbors aren't happy about it.
I've been partaking for the past two weeks;
big, black, luscious, sweet, and juicy !
I've gotten some every evening, when I got back home.

Yep, it's blackberry season in my backyard.
Some of the birds aren't all that happy, about me picking a bunch to eat each evening.
I thought angry birds, was just a video game.
I suppose I don't blame them.
The birds are the ones who originally 'planted' them
and they have spread every year.

It still so great to enjoy a good season of blackberry. I only see it on TV my country is tropical and dont have this kind of fruit. But Im sure it very tasty and sweet right?
Wish you a good harvest time and enjoy it with family and neighborhood
Enjoy.
h - mine have plenty of thorns, which I frequently encounter stretching for that big berry or two in the center of the brambles.
S - cool ! That's pie enabling. Yum ! I had many of those as a kid.
Send some over, Jim!!!!
However, you never know what artificial chemicals are used on the
store bought ones.
e - Free, delicious, natural, and effective fencing. It doesn't get much better than that.
M - sure. Give me your new address.
It is usually Aug/Sept before they are out in abundance though.
It must be one of the few berries people still forage for here. Although there are also wild raspberries etc., just not in the same abundance.
For a couple of years, I had more raspberries than blackberries in my yard.
More recently the blackberries are much more abundant.
But, I do see some new raspberry vines starting too.
In the Princeton area in particular, there are large swaths of
raspberry bushes. There's been some times I've picked and eaten
lots of them, while deer are doing the same within 15 feet of me.
It seems, that we both understood why the other was there.
Thankfully, I've never encountered any bear doing the same.
I imagine north NJ is a different story regarding that. I dated a gal in north NJ, who frequently had bear in her yard. Raspberries are delicious, but not worth fighting a bear over.
I think now I could be in love with you for those blackberries.
In return, here is your favorite so you too could be in love with me.... for these Mangoes.
Have a good weekend, JimN, Mimi, Molly, Exself, and everyone.
K - I do love mangoes. But, those don't look ripe enough. The wedding is off !
You have a terrific weekend also.
U - I don't know. My property has a lot of trees, so mine don't get a lot of sun. My guess is, that they
like partial sun, because I often find them in the wild growing at the edge of fields & woods.
In the past there used to be wolves, but unfortunately they were made extinct hundreds of years ago.
They are trying to re-introduce eagles i hope it works.
Domesticated only
they decimate wild bird populations. They will also kill a bunch of field mice and rabbits.
c - I'm glad it was to your....taste. :)
K - I did.
This goes out to the blackberries I eat each year.
I think blackberries are too seedy.
Seriously, I suppose crushing the berries & running the resultant liquid would yield a delicious juice,
or wine, if fermented.
