Hight Of Humanity , Hight Of Shame

Often I think that , no more darkness ..
I will just focus upon the bright side only from now on ..
But ..
Whenever I think of it , something comes up to push me into the disgust again ..

This is one of such terrible moment again ..

This HORRIBLY DISGUSTING incident happened just a month back at India ..

4 CIVILISED EDUCATED NORMAL people went for a tour at a Tiger Reserve area at India ..
Then they captured a Bengal Monitor Lizard as a part of their hunting game ..
Then ..
THEY GANG RAPED THE LIZARD ..
And after that they killed it and ate it ..

This incident might have been never come to surface like many others , but in this case there was Hard Evidence ..

There were several cameras planted in the reserve area to monitor movement of Tigers mostly ..
Those 4 people were clearly caught during their ACT on those cameras ..
As well as , they themselves made VIDEO of the whole RAPE incident as a part of their own enjoyment (like a porn movie) ..

Later somehow the video evidence came to the notice of the authority and those CRIMINALS were arrested ..

And
THEY HAD BEEN RELEASED FROM THE CUSTODY ON BAIL ..

It's in fact very normal thing here at India that often this types of news comes out where Stray animals like Dog or Cat and Domestic Farm animals like Cow or Goat or Sheep , get RAPED ..
And now it's been proven that Wild Animals are also the part of the list ..
There are laws to deal with such CRIMES but in Practical Life the LAW has been FAILED TO BRING JUSTICE ..

I just want to ask to those CIVILISED EDUCATED RESPECTABLE NORMAL citizens of our society ,

Was Raping Children , Women , Men and Other Genders NOT ENOUGH !?
That now HUMANS are being more interested in RAPING ANIMALS ?????????

Hight Of Humanity indeed ... thumbs down

Guns in schools...

Right after every school shooting, both sides of the 'gun' issue think they have the answer.
In a previous blog I stated nothing will get fixed. No one has the answer and if they actually did, the issue would get 'shot down' by the side who disagrees with the solution.

Repeating my comment from that blog:
My prediction: For or against, nothing will happen. Nothing will get fixed.

Doing some research, I found a few sites that explain some current gun laws and how it affects schools. There are variances from state to state, but basically (other than security and law enforcement) possession of a gun in a school is a crime.

Uvalde, Texas massacre has so many errors and why the police didn't confront the shooter. I read "there’s no doubt some of those children bled to death while waiting for police to make entry"

One of the possible solutions that's been kicked around for years is to arm the teachers.
Personally, I think that's a bad idea and just to be sure, I asked a security guard who is a retired police police from New York and also served in the U.S. Army for his opinion on the subject.
His reply: "Bad idea, very bad idea"
Before I could ask for an explanation he was offering a few details.
He explained that Military training lasts for months and as a soldier you live the job.
Police academy last for months and while it's a job, you have to be mentally conditioned to fulfill the responsibility.
Teachers aren't allowed to discipline unruly students and now you want to arm them?
Consider the enormous liability he said. You have to train every teacher to accept the position of security, issue weapons. Where do they keep the guns...? lockup?
His sister-in-law would give her resignation. She's a teacher and not security.
He went on to say, there are lots of retired cops and former military who are suited for positions as security and not some overweight guy with a gun and keys who is one notch above janitor.

I agreed with him. The only guns that should be allowed in schools would be in the hands of trained professionals hired in security positions.

The issue is will something actually be done?

Honestly Dishonest !!!

People these days , often complaint , that there's not much room left for honesty..

But folks .. I think that's really not the case at all ... conversing

I mean , I agree that , there are too many dishonesty everywhere , but , if you look wisely and carefully with positivity , you will surely find Honesty Within Dishonesty everywhere as well !!! wow

For example ...

There is a contract killer who commit murder in exchange of money ...
Yes... I know , He is a murderer ..
But...
When he received the money and agreed to the agreement to kill someone , have FAITH , he will Definitely fulfill the agreement !!!

Isn't that HONESTY !!! dunno

There are some kidnappers who have kidnapped your kid ...
And they threatened you that , if you inform the police , they will cut the fingers of your kid..
So next day when they get to know that you have contacted the police , they immediately sent you the amputated fingers of your kid !!! help They kept their PROMISE !!!

Isn't that HONESTY !!!!!! dunno

A corrupted officer , asked a huge off the record donation in order to complete a task..
Well.. You have to pay of course ..
But..
He will complete the task at least !!!
You can mark his words that , he is the MAN OF HIS WORDS !!!!

Isn't that HONESTY !!!!!!! confused

So what's there to be so sad about after all guys !?!?!
CHEERS !!!! wine Let's just celebrate soooooooo much of HONESTY !!! wink

* * *

Important Note :

I was very confused about where to put this blog .. In Society or in Comedy section.. confused

But then I thought , What's the difference at all !? dunno
Our SOCIETY is NOTHING BUT A JOKE after all !!! innocent

giggle

Enjoy your weekend fellas ... wave

DEATH, PENAL COLONY OR PRISON LIFE

What's the best method of treating convicted murderers? Should they be given life in prison, or sent away to a penal colony for hard labor, or maybe a life sentence in traditional prison. Maybe it depends on the particular case in question. If the circumstances were unclear as to the intention, but a life was taken and found guilty, perhaps prison only. Murder of a child, perhaps death penalty. Murder of anyone, which sentence and does it matter? Or maybe the death sentence should never be used as the taking of life as a punishment is behaving like the criminal.
Which punishment would make the best deterrent to crime?
What form of death should be used? Hanging, electrocution, drugs?
What about sending person to a penal colony away from normal civilisation?
Can you ever be sure of the guilty verdict?

UNO Mavericks

Beautiful day today. One of my closest friends here in Omaha got her Master’s in Computer Science today. It’s her second Master’s Degree actually. Her first was less than 2 years ago ( I think hmmm )

She came to Omaha in 2008, got her Bachelor’s degree in Finance at the University of Omaha ( UNO ). She then started work in Hong Kong for 5 years, got burnt out and decided to come back to Omaha to further her studies. While doing her Master’s in Finance, she realized she’d be able to earn more money ( Can’t blame her, she’s Chinese after all. We love money more than anything! rolling on the floor laughing ) if she were to pursue a Computer Science Master’s degree. She is really into coding, that’s her passion.

Coincidentally, my son is pursuing the same course, albeit he just completed his freshman year. So far so good, he’s enjoying all the opportunities this great country is giving him.

Coming back to my friend, she worked hard to get where she is today. She doesn’t come from a rich family. She found ways to support herself all these years, taking out a loan back in Malaysia and worked during college days. She got to do her Master’s degrees for free by being a Graduate Assistant.

Her mom, younger brother and an Italian good friend ( he flew all the way from Italy! ) attended her graduation in December 2012. However, this time around, she had none of them by her side and she nearly didn’t make the walk today…
After much persuasion from her few friends ( moi included grin ) she changed her mind cheering

Another good Malaysian friend of ours brought her son along. He’s studying at UNO too. My son was supposed to join us but couldn’t make it the last minute because he wanted to spend more time with his girlfriend. His girlfriend who’s a year younger than him, just graduated this morning ( UNO had 2 sessions going on today ) and would be going to stay with her parents ( an hour’s drive ) throughout the summer before she comes back to Omaha in fall to do her residency. Therefore, they won’t be seeing each other during summer or maybe not at all, according to Art, if she finds someone better than my son! rolling on the floor laughing

My son’s girlfriend. She’s half Romanian-half Indian. And my son is half Indian-half Chinese! laugh

I knew they were gonna butcher my friend’s last name! Lol but we are used to having our Chinese names butchered all the time but guess what? She and I find it hilarious and it doesn’t bother us a bit. Like I have always said, it takes a lot to offend me. Life has more things to be enjoyed than to worry about such trivial matters.

She already has a job offer from Mutual of Omaha and hopefully on her way to get a green card in the near future. I know her dream goals are to pursue a Ph.D and make lots of money so that her mom can lead a very comfortable life. Filial piety is very strong in this girl….that’s the thing I like about her. We don’t forget our parents or our loved ones who have sacrificed a lot for us. Even you have made it in life and have all the riches in the world, and you forget the people that have helped you to get there, then there’s nothing to be proud of your achievements…

I tell my son this all the time. He has to be thankful and grateful to Art. Without Art, my son would not be given all these opportunities.

Thanks for reading and hope you all have a great weekend ahead

Gold wedding band...

Weekends, mean the guys meeting at the model aircraft flying field. The weather was windy and rain approaching, so we broke and went for lunch. While we were, there it poured down rain and an hour later the sun started coming out. Everyone went their way and I returned to the field. Not long after, one of the other guys shows back up... not to fly. He came looking for his wedding ring. He put it in his pocket when he flew as it clacks against the controller.
Now, it's gone. So we did a search of his path to and from his car, but no luck.
I was ready to suggest he check back at the restaurant. He calls and they have his missing ring at the front reception. Awesome!

He was worried should someone find it they would keep or put it online to sell...
My superstition is keeping a wedding ring (even if you found it) would bring bad luck.
Get it back to the original owner...

Serial killer Charles Sobhraj was 'charming' and 'emanated power'

Sobhraj was represented by the infamous lawyer Jacques Vergès, nicknamed the “devil’s advocate” because his roster of clients included the Nazi Klaus Barbie, Slobodan Milosevic and the renowned international terrorist Carlos the Jackal. Sobhraj wanted payment for the interview but I refused and, to my surprise, he agreed to talk.

I had never been much interested in serial killers but I happened to read Richard Neville’s and Julie Clarke’s extraordinary account of the killings, The Life and Crimes of Charles Sobhraj, just before Sobhraj’s release was announced. I couldn’t quite believe that someone who had confessed to a number of the murders to Neville, and against whom there was a wealth of compelling evidence, was free to walk the streets of a European capital.

The child of an affair between an Indian businessman-tailor and one of his Vietnamese shop assistants, Sobhraj (played in the BBC drama by French actor Tahar Rahim) had grown up in Saigon during the Vietnamese war of independence from France. His mother then married an occupying French soldier who, suffering from PTSD, returned to France with his young family. Sobhraj did not settle in his new home and twice stowed away on ships heading to Africa.

A bright but delinquent teenager, he was irresistibly drawn to crime – car theft, street muggings, and then holding up housewives with a gun. He spent most of his adolescence in Paris in and out of youth offender facilities and then their adult version. A well-

well-meaning prison visitor arranged work for him on the outside and also introduced him to a bourgeois young Parisian called Chantal Compagnon. They fell in love. He promised her that he was a reformed character and they got engaged, only for him to go back to prison for car theft.

But like so many women who were to follow, she had fallen under his spell. When he came out they embarked on a manic crime spree across Europe and Asia. It was 1970, the beginning of the so-called hippy trail, when hordes of young people would make long, low-budget trips through southern Europe, the Middle East, India and the far east. It was an era of porous borders and lax security, when the only contact with back home were poste restante letters that might take weeks to arrive. A generation was looking to find itself by getting lost or high somewhere off the beaten track. No one took much notice of who came and went.

It was in this transient milieu that Sobhraj stole from impressionable travellers. But first he was imprisoned in Greece – he escaped by swapping identities with his younger brother. Then he and Compagnon were imprisoned in Afghanistan. They had just had a daughter, who was sent back to live with Compagnon’s parents in France. Sobhraj managed to break out of prison by drugging a guard and then returned to France to kidnap his own daughter. When Compagnon finally got out, she was able to take the child and flee to America to escape Sobhraj’s destructive hold.

An embittered Sobhraj upped the crime stakes. He held a flamenco dancer hostage in a New Delhi hotel while he used her room to break into a gem store on the floor below. He became a famous outlaw in India. Like Patricia Highsmith’s Tom Ripley, he assumed different identities, using stolen passports and creating a trail of havoc wherever he went. Ripley has been described as “suave, agreeable, and utterly immoral”, and those adjectives were not out of place for Sobhraj.
