Can anyone explain to me why there seems to be a fair few national/independence days this week?? is there a specific reason for making it this week?? Us here in Gibraltar we've got ours 10th Sept and as with many other national days its just another excuse to go out and get ever so slightly sloshed and paint the town red AND white quite literally...

There's something to be said for Mother nature and being in the presence of the beauty of mountains that one could see as far as the eye can see. The trip up and back was mostly winding roads in and out; and, around mountains and hills; but never-the-less, I enjoyed every moment there. There was just something about being there.... it was peaceful and tranquil.... It was breath taking....

The town of Wilmington, VT, itself, is pretty much made up of privately owned stores and restaurants.... "Mom and Pop" stores.... The town was busy with tourists and bikers; but, there was still a certain peace to it all.... Everything seemingly "time capsuled" to keep it's "uniqueness".... Even the local Shaw's hasn't caught up with the times. No big hotel or motel names; just local people trying to make a living from the abundance of tourists that Wilmington attracts.

We waited in line quite a while to get the boat into the water; and, then we waited some more! It was worth the wait! We got out on the water and I was given a tour around the 10 mile lake. Beautiful ledged shore lines; people docking pretty much anywhere they desired. Small islands here and there.... canoes; kyackers; sailboats; skiers and jet skiers.... They were all there! We pulled into a cove and anchored; swam ashore and spent the afternoon there. We had the opportunity to see a parade of sailboats that one just couldn't resist watching as we chatted and laughed.... spoke about life, love and relationships.

During my tour of the lake, we passed "The Ledges".... I'd never been to "The Ledges", but have heard a lot about it from friends. The Ledges? A "nudist" colony for nude bathers. I had different expectations and thoughts of a nudist colony. It was just a group on nude men and women sunbathing on the Ledges and enjoying each others company in the nude! Bare-bottomed and topless.... I anticipated that I'd feel differently.... I wasn't inhibited nor uncomfortable.... Just part of being comfortable in your own skin and being "free". There's a lot of controversy surrounding Wilmington and nudity.... I did come to appreciate what it means to them.

A picture perfect day and visit to Wilmington, VT!My trip to Wilmington, VT came to an end. What a way to end a few days off! I couldn't see enough of the scenery or breath in enough of the fresh air or take in enough of the town itself. It was absolutely beautiful!

I think everybody has a best part of his/her life! depending on your ideas you can choose the best part! How we can select the best part! when we were child ,we enjoyed from a simple things! and when we grew up we wanted to find new things to enjoy! if we missed somebody or something we can say we lost it or it is the worst part of our life! I don't think so! because I learned many things from my failures. Sometimes I can say, my failures are the best part of my life! because I found the new ways of living and solved my problems and improved my personality!
Who knows!? maybe the best part of our life is the worst one!!
