Just wondering what's an acceptable time period for being single and if someone is over that does it mean that they suck at dating or other issues at play? Just thinking here lol.

No rule book there. Thirteen years for me, with two couple of years relationships in between. I suck at dating, so much I don't want to do it. There are better experts here than I.

It's like riding a bike , pardon the comparison . Ye never forget how it's done
I guess your just hoping to meet a female version of you when it comes to dating on here lol, I wish you well. Do you for yourself know why, or more to the point make easy excuses as to why you are bad at dating, not judging. I being a farmer use to blame that but I'm the problem at the end of the day.

Anyone can stay upright on a Bike, when it's moving it wants to stay upright by itself(Newton)Riding and controlling it is a different skill set. Now I have wandered off the topic.

Oh I don't mind. First, I guess I would be considered a loner. Lived in the city I'm in only three years, don't know anybody. Second I don't wish to go to a Bar/Pub, I drink rarely these days, plus I had enough of it when I was young, so not very social. Third(and I only just figured this), I might have a slight fear of another relationship. That's all I can say I guess.
I can understand where your coming from and your reasons. I'd have thought having a few drinks would be a help but that can also put the demons to work, anxiety etc's.

About 6 years for me. I can't say there's a time limit as much as maybe there are some things people know they can no longer allow from past relationships.
It can shrink the prospects window and there fore, take longer. If online is a primary route to achieve a goal, many other factors can come into play as well.

Yes a few drinks help, but then I'd never shut up.

I don't give a tuppeny toss what the general population might think is an acceptable time period for being single.
It's been my choice to be single, not anyone else's.
And if I were to choose not to be single, it's no one's business but mine and the person who might choose to be not single with me.
