tobecontinued: Just wondering what's an acceptable time period for being single and if someone is over that does it mean that they suck at dating or other issues at play? Just thinking here lol.
What has Macra come to these days?
As for being single, I think the older people get (and the more baggage accumulated) the longer a lot of people are single.
There are way more "available" singles when you're in your twenties and thirties. I did notice a big difference when starting to date in my late thirties in that regard.
I do like to take my time after a break-up, at least 1 year before I would thinking of looking for someone again, but that's different for anyone.
I was single until I met someone special I had a lot of things in common with. There simply aren't too many people like that around and that's ok.
Best of luck and don't forget to simply go out and enjoy yourself on the weekends.

I just want to say that I am glad to know that there is no rule about this and know some people comfortable as single for a long time.
