purr4mance: alongside the economy and immigration, the NHS has emerged as a key battleground in the EU debate. That is because the leave campaign decided early on to deploy the health service as a core argument in their plea to voters. Leave leaders Boris Johnson and Michael Gove have said consistently since campaigning began in April that Brexit could free up up to £8bn extra a year to spend on the NHS.
Leaving the EU would not, however, provide more money to spend on the NHS, according to the Institute of Fiscal Studies. “Rather, it would leave us spending less on public services, or taxing more, or borrowing more.”
Labour has dismissed the leave campaign’s claim of a bigger NHS budget as “misleading, simplistic and complete and utter nonsense”. Its own analysis concludes that a post-Brexit economic slump could force the government to cut the Department of Health’s budget by £10.5bn – the equivalent of every hospital in England having to shed 1,000 nurses and 155 doctors.
That is what the hypocritical Wealth, Eton Oxbridge control classes want us to believe and obey - in the last 6 years often using the police to enforce restriction of speech by threat of arrest from undercover CID if we step out of line at political meetings. -- If the humane, social needs awareness and political will was all in place, all the social problems can be solved now we are OUT

The UK leaving the EU
The little guy gave the rich fat cats (the ones who get paid 150 times more than the lowest paid in the same company)/establishment/bankers a good kicking, and Brexit has now opened up cracks within the EU so the bureaucrats who run the EU now want the UK out as quick as possible before the 'rot' spreads.
The Scots would be really foolish to call a leave the UK referendum so they can stay in the EU as their main income (North Sea Oil) is very low on price now unlike the last time they voted in the referendum, Nicola Sturgeon who has always talked very big about Scotland going alone well knows?
Those living in Northern Ireland have now got to make a momentous decision as they voted to stay in the EU do they go with the UK or with Eire to keep in the EU tats a real biggy for them?

epirb: GATT is just that , a trade agreement , TPPA is not just about trade . EEC started out about trade , it changed . It became a controlling monster .

that is your hope.
but doubt it.
money talks and you guys are going to be having your troubles generating enough income.
epirb: Our currency has gained ground last two days , against the US$ , pound and the Euro . We have done well with tourism last while because of terror elsewhere . Overall we have high debt , very high debt . Cheaper to service now on account of the FED' Reserve cutting rates . Two edged sword as some rely on interest to survive . We are stable another name for treading water .
gotta go
i heard just today the fed wanted to raise 4 times this year.
now their not sure what the hell to do with brexit.

It's Brexit + 2, and the sky hasn't yet fallen. You have to be in England to understand the disasters that were predicted for us if we went against the establishment and voted Brexit, it is in it's own way a bloodless revolution.
Far from being the envy of the world the NHS is mediocre in comparison to Europe. It comes out 13th out of 35 in Europe. However, the British way of life is less healthy than the European average and it is also the most lonely life in Europe - healthcare has to build from a lower level of general public health.
epirb: figures don't back your argument , nor do news reports .
Not about figures, it is about the service patients receive.
I suggest you listen to what the people here say about the service in the NHS before slagging it off when you have no personal experience of it yourself.
ziggy67: The UK health service is one of the best in the world, idiot!!
The only thing wrong with it is , struggling to cope with demand , but still a amazing service for patients.
When was the last time you used it to feel you have the right to comment???
your right ziggy....*the best* trouble is you and i, who have paid into it all our lives....have to wait behind ..while the rest of the world use it...who have paid nothing.....but just being here, gives them the right.... arrrrrrrr thos poor people...my foot.

The NHS has to come back from this.(on average)The immune system of every British patient treated is not fighting for life like the Dutchmen or Frenchmen.

Could not agree more Pete.
Exactly why i get the hump when people slag it off.
The service you receive once you get seen is superb.
Like when i had a dose a couple of weeks ago, took 4 days to get appointment, but once seen all sorted and ready to go again
