I am curious. Do you think that men are just as shy as women? I look at the men who have viewed me, and I don't know if they read my profile or not, but if you have viewed me, there must have been something there in order to draw your curiousity. Why don't they drop me a line or something? dunno confused

Men are probably more shy one on one, but women act more shy in the crowd JMO

I am not shy at all. My view is that the photo may have drawn them in to read your profile, then decided after viewing it they found something which they did not care for and moved on. I have done the same in the past pertaining to men's profiles so I did not contact them once I had read their profile or I had contacted them because of what they stated in their profile ....dancing

Curiosity and maybe just the way someone smiles can be an attraction. It is still hard for me to just flat out write someone I don't know. Maybe I am shy, or just plain stupid!help

Its easy to be bold and straight forward hiding behind a computer....but honestly...for me,in real life, Ive always tried to come across as being pretty confident when approaching a woman, even if Ive felt really shy and nervous on the inside....

As for viewing somebodys profile...well..Im just a nosey git, and enjoy looking at em...laugh cheers

Hmmmm....yes I am doing a little changing around, I guess when I joined, I kind of omitted a few things. I did it in such a hurry though, and now I regret putting some things there. doh I shall be reconstructing my profile.

Men can be and sometimes kinda have to be shy. I know as being kinda limited in the dating end.... (Im 4 ft 11 in height)..... most perceptions are based on looks so I guess if your socially screwed and typecast...... its harder to let out who you are.... and you end up being shy out of fear of rejection.

Can be a tough old world out there lol

There are so many reasons to open someone's profile and be on their way, could be:

* to see a photo better - not in thumbnail format;
* when reading your posts, ppl want to see who you actually are;
* etc., etc.

Also sometimes ppl lose interest after reading someone's profile, seeing it's not what they look for.

IMO, shyness is almost never a reason not to contact via e-mail if they like what they see/read.

I am very bold behind the keyboard or behind a microphone. But otherwise...I seldom look at people in the eye
