Birds chirping about?

when I talk to you
I'm actually just chatting to me
because conspicuous by absence again.
Won't imagine in which beautiful area,
with whom enjoying precious time.
You're smarter than me,
that's why I'm thinking of you.
Regardless, thoughts are free
to live in love with you.
The sun warms the colors of nature,
alone in it in quiet peace,
sit here together and listen to inspirations

Rainy Night

The rain falls gently on the rooftops,
A soft patter that never stops,
In the darkness of the night,
The raindrops shimmer in the light.

The world is hushed, the streets are still,
As the rain continues its gentle trill,
The leaves rustle in the breeze,
As the drops fall on the trees.

The air is cool, the scent is sweet,
As the rain washes away the heat,
It's a moment of calm, a moment of peace,
As the rain brings the earth release.

The sound of the rain is a lullaby,
A soothing melody, a gentle sigh,
As we lay in bed and listen,
To the raindrops on the windows glisten.

So let the rain fall, let it pour,
Let it wash away the worries of before,
For on this rainy night,
Everything feels clean and bright.

Adonis to rise

In the great woods
you'll find gallantry
there amongst the tree spirits
iron and blood
which is without their need
will not invoke them
for a parade of souls
who paid to the corn god
for succession of evils
wilt away in the groves
and as day gives to night
the fire festivals
come alive
to sacrifice the bull
blood amongst the young
and the garlands
roll in the wind
as we scrape the earth
in yearning
but let us burn the effigy
for Adonis to rise

Spring

Season of Persephone
nymphs dance in abandon
to the will of Apollo

I walk the country lanes
rain falls as distant mandolins
awaken to a daffodil dawn

Mist holding in shrines
in the mornings it works up the valley
cherry blossom ripe

FLOOD....

Once a lush green valley, now coated in silt
Rooftops of houses, raise emotions of guilt
Not that anyone can control, nature's actions
Destroying once held, personal satisfaction

Emotions of family, who achieved, but lost
Uncertain if they will survive, baring all cost
Of starting again, once roaring water flowed
Left despair, removing any confidence glow

Flashes of colour, can be seen submerged
Natures actions, was certainly not deserved
By families who worked, to make a good life
Now confronted, by a new future of strife

Once they had dreams, now the future holds
Doubts they can survive, when staring at gold
Once buried below, where above flowing water
Coats everything in silt, self-confidence falters

Human resilience, will hopefully take control
Allowing them to cope, to again follow a goal
No one can for-see, the future with true hope
As they start again, and like others....somehow cope.

Shadows of Frost

In the elongated shadows of frost
A pattern is etched on pale glass
Its prisms causing colors that dance
Wholly create which halogen’s will pass
As reflective as the late winter sun
And the sum of its atomic mass
So inscribed is nature's brush
Watching it paint no more, alas

Corn

The corn is growing around my suburb
giant green shoots have come up over 4 or 5 months
its miraculous how it does that
soon we will get to eat some, steamed with butter and pepper
oh that will be delicious

Ode to corn

It took a 100 days
for a field of maize
to prosper in the sun
I'll be there
with a glass of beer
when all is said and done
to eat the seed
a worthy feed
a treat no need to shun
forget the job
and grab a cob
the fun has just begun

It doesn’t wait

Time beats on
Without a thought for me. My
Day ends quickly.

Sleepless in Senegal

Sleepless in Senegal
beat virtues of the restless
renegade rhythms
drinking aqua-vitae
in the slow jazz sunset
whose citrus designs
leisurely desert caravan
has me drawn away
in clouds of melody
petals on the piano
lost in a foreign bar
holy western waitress
dancing for me
cobra cool
this chilled intoxicant
luxuriant in lime
just squeeze
and release
mad karma love
