This is a nice place to meet the regulars and perhaps entice a newbie to while away their time and chat while looking for their one and only, their true love, or perhaps a few laughs with friends.

Well, I didn't technically spill your drink ..... yet.... well it did spill but it wasn't yours yet.... so technically......

let me mix it up in a container that is sure to be spill proof. Can you tell I am kinda new to this bar-tenderizer business?

thanks..... that's a lovely tip (as I finger the material and hold it up to the light and then mark it with a felt marker.....) not like the tip I got from Chat - he just suggested I plant my corn early, or bet on Lovelybabs in the 5th.

We are serving a little fondue tonight - although I don't know if it is such a good idea to mix alcohol, hot oil and pointy sticks......

SoCo Chocolate Covered Cherry Shot

1-1/4 ounce Southern Comfort Bold Black Cherry

1/2 ounce Dark Crème de Cacao

Combine liquids in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to blend and chill. Strain into shot glass.

Connoisseurs of the classic drink known as the Manhattan revere it for its balance of pungent, sweet and bitter flavors.


The cocktail named for one of NYC's most popular boroughs is said to have originated in the city's own Manhattan Club back in 1874, although folklore reports a version of the drink containing sugar syrup in place of one of the ingredients (vermouth) was invented on the fly by a Maryland bartender one year prior to revive an injured party at a duel.
