A female as President of the United States of America? Yes American is smart enough now to handle it.
The average age of accession is 54 years and 11 months, which falls between Herbert Hoover (22nd youngest) and Lyndon B. Johnson (23rd). The youngest person to assume office was Theodore Roosevelt (age 42), who became president following William McKinley's assassination. The youngest president elected to office was John F. Kennedy (age 43 years, 236 days). The oldest president to assume office was Ronald Reagan (age 69 years, 349 days).
For every action there is a reaction. If no profile picture means less responses or missing out on meeting the someone special, or not, it is the profile person's choice.
It's good for me, I prefer to steer clear of "private" people.
it takes more than just one honest leader - it takes many - it is a group effort. Corruption is a continual issue here in the United States - it is a continual push to keep our government ethical. It just takes one bad apple, but it requires many good people to keep it a open and transparent government.
Luckily enough some American women are strong and able to be considered..... human, not things. They are not body parts, or prizes, or unfeeling, unthinking playthings. And women the world over are pretty similar - although extremely oppressed in many countries.
I guess it seems from this threads the few "lamenters" appear to not be strong man enough to handle an American woman.
I, of course, just call those men that can handle a typical American woman, a gentleman, a strong man, a capable man, a man who is not afraid to relinquish his "supposed power" to his woman, his partner, his love interest, because he still welds all the power he needs. His strength and being a better man comes from his relationship with his woman. Because a good American man knows who he can trust, and build a family with. He is not afraid of someone who is his equal, yet different to complement his strengths, and as he complements hers. He knows it doesn't take away from his masculinity.
He doesn't idealize women. He is not afraid of the supposed "power" American women enjoy.
What's with the passive aggressiveness? If we are playing a game of education, I have a degree in Psychology, minor in chemistry and a Masters in Public Administration. Education does not mean anything when trying to making a valid point, or rational discussion. However, making wild generalizations which are not based on actual statistics is just idle muck-raking and is as much "rhetoric and ideology" as anything else.
And you are right I did not quote the source. Let me go back to the articles and put them in.
the guy who won the lottery, she came into his life as a financial adviser - ends up he is buried under the cement slab in her boyfriend's back yard and the $600,000 is no where to be found.
One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.1 An estimated 1.3 million women are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner each year.2 85% of domestic violence victims are women.3 Historically, females have been most often victimized by someone they knew.4 Females who are 20-24 years of age are at the greatest risk of nonfatal intimate partner violence.5 Most cases of domestic violence are never reported to the police.6
The Fight Goes On. Even though the Paycheck Fairness Act failed in the Senate on June 5, 2012 on a 52-47 procedural vote, we'll keep working to close the gender wage gap. (All Republicans voted not to consider the bill, while all Democrats and Independents voted for it; Sen Mark Kirk (R-IL) did not vote, and Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) changed his vote to enable him to bring up the bill again.) See vote count here. President Obama issued the following statement after the vote:
"This afternoon, Senate Republicans refused to allow an up-or-down vote on the Paycheck Fairness Act, a commonsense piece of legislation that would strengthen the Equal Pay Act and give women more tools to fight pay discrimination. It is incredibly disappointing that in this make-or-break moment for the middle class, Senate Republicans put partisan politics ahead of American women and their families. Despite the progress that has been made over the years, women continue to earn substantially less than men for performing the same work. My Administration will continue to fight for a woman’s right for equal pay for equal work, as we rebuild our economy so that hard work pays off, responsibility is rewarded, and every American gets a fair shot to succeed."
Both the Paycheck Fairness Act (S.84, H.R.377) and the Fair Pay Act (S.168, H.R.438) have been reintroduced in the 113th Congress. And the fight goes on.
RE: would you want your grandmother to be president....?......
